This is to be done within aclimate of sympathetic acceptance andnon-evaluative appreciation by thosewith whom they work. Such circum-stances permit feelings which haveprevented effective co-operation in thepast to be discharged and dissipated, perhaps being replaced by understand-ing of each person's innately goodintentions.
FGL training provides the back-ground for building a climate of trust, openness, respect and intimacy whichis essential for collaborative effort. After such training, participants areexpected to get to a basis of thinkingthat is unencumbered by disablingemotions. Then work problems ofparticipants can be dealt with in a moreobjective, problem-solving fashion.
