Membership Criteria as per the approved constitution

Article 5: Membership

(1) Membership shall be opened to any Malaysian citizens :a. who owned or previously had owned property where the construction of the property has

not completed at the end of the expiry of the completion period as stated in the Sales andPurchase Agreement (SPA) between the developer and the purchaser or

(2) Every application for membership shall be proposed and seconded by two existing members and shallbe forwarded to the Secretary who shall at the first convenient opportunity, submit it to the Committee forapproval. The Committee may at its discretion reject any application without assigning any reasonthereof.

(3) Every applicant whose application has been approved as aforesaid shall, upon payment of theprescribed entrance fee and the first subscription fee, be admitted as a member of the Society and shallbe entitled to all the privileges of membership.

(4) A university or university-college student shall not be eligible for membership without the prior approvalof the Vice-chancellor of the university concerned.

1. Article 6:Entrance Fees, Subscriptions and other dues.

(1) The entrance fee and subscription payable shall be as follows:-Entrance fee RM10.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Ten only)

AND Annual subscription RM 12.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Twelve only)

OR

Life time Subscription fee RM100.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One hundred only)

All members must pay the entrance fee. Members can opt to pay either the Annual Subscription Feeannually or to pay once in a lifetime the Life time Subscription. Members who pays the lifetime fee will notbe required to pay the annual subscription fee anymore.

(2) All subscription fee shall be payable to the Treasurer in advance within 30 days from thedate of notification by the Secretary

(3) Any member who allows his arrears to exceed 90 days from the period of notification shallreceive a written reminder notification signed by or on behalf of the Secretary, and shall bedenied the privileges of membership until he settles his account.

(4) Any member who allows his arrears to exceed 120 days from the period of notification shallautomatically cease to be a member of the Society, and the Committee may direct legalaction be taken against him, provided that they are satisfied that he has received due noticeof his debts.

(5) The Committee shall have the power to fix a re-entrance fee for any person who has allowedhis membership to lapse through arrears.

(6) Special subscriptions or levies for particular purposes may be raised from members byresolution of the general meeting of the Society. If any member fails to pay such subscriptionwithin such period as may be resolved, the amount due shall be treated in the same way asarrears of annual subscription.
