    COORDINATE GEOMETRY

    1. (a) Find the distance between two points P(5,7) and Q(-3,-5).

    (b) If the distance between A(-4,-1) and B(x,y) is 5 units, find x and y.

    (c) Given A(4,8) and B(9,-5). Find the coordinate C on AB so that A will be the mid-

    point of BC.

    2. Write an equation of a line which has

    (a) Slope 2, and intercept the y-axis at 7.

    (b) Slope -5, through (-1,8).

    (c) y intercept at 3 and x intercept at 5.

    3. Given the points A(3,8), B(-4,2), C(-11,8) and D(-5,6).

    (a) Is the lines AB and CD is parallel?

    (b) Is the lines AB and BC is perpendicular?
