Pelajar dapat (Students should be able):

• Menerangkan sejarah perjuangan kemerdekaan tanahair, sistem

politik dan pemerintahan Negara (C2) (to explain the history of the struggle for

independence, political and governmental system of the nation);

• Menghuraikan dasar-dasar negara serta nilai-nilai terkandung di

dalamnya (C2) (to discuss the nation’s policies and the values contained therein);

• Menghubungkaitkan implikasi dan mesej-mesej yang dibawakan

melalui pemahaman sejarah, sistem politik, ekonomi dan aspek-

aspek kemasyarakatan (P2), dan (to relate the implications and messages through

the understanding of the nation’s history, economy and society, and)

• Membina dalam diri masing-masing rasa muhibbah dan kerjasama

serta semangat cinta kepada Negara (A3, EM, LL) (to develop in themselves the

feeling of friendliness and cooperation as well as a love for the country).

SINOPSIS / Synopsis

Kursus ini merangkumi sejarah negara; perjuangan mencapai

kemerdekaan; penubuhan Persekutuan Malaysia; sejarah, cirri dan

masalah masyarakat majmuk; Sistem Demokrasi Berparlimen; Sistem

Pilihanraya; Perlembagaan Malaysia; Rukunegara; Raja

Berperlembagaan; Pentadbiran Awam; dan dasar-dasar negara.

This course comprises the nation’s history; the struggle for independence; the formation of the

Federation of Malaysia; the history, characteristics and problems of plural society; the system of

parliamentary democracy; the Electoral System; the Constitution of Malaysia; the National Ideology;

the Constitutional Monarchy; Public Administration; and national policies.
