ARAHAN KEPADA PELAJAR / INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. Tugasan ini mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa modul bercetak kursus ini. / This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in the language of the printed module for the course.

2. Jawab dalam Bahasa Melayu atau Bahasa Inggeris. / Answer in Malay or English.

3. Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan daripada MyVLE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New Roman dan langkau baris 1.5. / Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the MyVLE for preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.

4. Tugasan anda hendaklah antara 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk rujukan. Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. SOALAN TUGASAN /ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The general purpose of this assignment is to provide the opportunity for students to learn, apply and demonstrate their content and pedagogical knowledge related to the topic of fractions which is taught in Year Three mathematics.

Specifically, this assignment requires the students to carry a thorough analysis of how each of the following sub-topics under the topic of fractions is typically taught and learned in the classroom (the current practice).

a. The concept of fractionsb. The concept of equivalent fractions

Your analysis should focus on the strengths and weaknesses of current practice. Based on the analysis, you are then required to suggest with justifications, an improved approach in teaching the concept of equivalent fractions. A detailed lesson plan should be included.

You may organize your assignment report using the following sub-headings:
