SEJARAH PENUBUHAN SEKOLAH

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara telah dibuka pada 1 September 2001 dan diterajui oleh Pengetua pertama, Puan Noorul Aini bt Ambak, 27 guru dan 4 anggota kumpulan sokongan. Kumpulan pelajar pertama adalah 445 orang pada Januari 2002. Sejak penubuhannya sehingga kini, sekolah telah diterajui oleh empat orang pengetua yang berwibawa. Pengetua pertama ialah Puan Noorul Aini bt Ambak (2001-2004), kedua oleh YBhg Datin Rohani bt Mustaffa (Ogos 2004 – September 2006), ketiga Puan Fadzillah bt Maarif (Oktober 2006 – 15 Februari 2009) dan pada 16 Februari 2009 hingga kini diterajui oleh Puan Hjh Zuraidah bt Hj Mohamad, Pengetua Cemerlang DG52. Pada tahun 2002, Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (PIBG) ditubuhkan. Badan ini memainkan peranan penting membantu memajukan sekolah. Yang diPertua pertama disandang oleh Encik Mohd Azman Lim bin Abdullah (2002-2003), kedua Encik Mohd Effendi bin Ismail (2003-2005), ketiga Encik Kusnin bin Morid (2005-2009) dan kini disandang oleh YBhg Dato’ Mohd Radzi bin Ahmad (mulai Mac 2009) SMK Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara juga mempunyai identitinya sendiri iaitu bendera sekolah, lencana, moto, lagu sekolah dan slogan sekolah tersendiri. Bendera, lencana dan lirik lagu sekolah telah dicipta oleh pengetua pertama, Puan Noorul Aini bt Ambak. Sementara lagu dicipta oleh pengubah lagu Encik Zubir bin Ali. Kini bilangan pelajar dan guru semakin bertambah dari tahun ke tahun. Pada 2009 sekolah ini mempunyai 73 orang tenaga pengajar, 11 anggota kumpulan sokongan dan 1173 orang pelajar.

SCHOOL HISTORY SMK Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara was opened on the 1st of September 2001 and led by the first principal, Puan Noorul Aini binti Ambak, 27 teachers and four support groups staffs. The first batch came in January 2002 consisting 445 students. Since its inception until now, the school has been led by four competent principals. The first principal was Puan Noorul Aini binti Ambak (2001-2004), followed by YBhg Datin Rohani binti Mustaffa (August 2004-September 2006), Puan Fadzillah binti Maarif (October 2006-February 15, 2009) and on February 16, 2009 to present Puan Hjh. Zuraidah binti Hj. Mohamad, DG 52 Excellent Principal. In 2002, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) was established. The body plays an important role to help develop the school. The first chairman was En. Lim Mohd Azman bin Abdullah (2002-2003), followed by En. Ismail bin Mohd Effendi (2003-2005), third En. Kusnin bin Morid (2005-2009) and now is held by Dato’ Mohd Radzi bin Ahmad (starting March 2009). SMK Seksyen 1 Bandar Kinrara also has its own identity such as the school flag, badge, motto, school song and slogan. Flag, emblem and lyrics of the school song were created by the first principal, Puan Noorul Aini binti Ambak, while En. Zubair bin Ali composed the music for the song. Now the number of students and teachers have been increasing from year to year. At present, the school has 73 teachers, 11 support groups staffs with 1173 students.
