AKTA PENDAFTARAN JURUKUR (PINDAAN), 1973

Suatu Akta bagi meminda Akta Pendaftaran Jurukur, 1967.

MAKA INILAH DIPERBUAT UNDANG-UNDANG oleh DuliYang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agungdengan nasihat dan pe rsetujuan Dewan Negara dan Dewan Rakyatyang bersidang dalam Parlimen, dan dengan kuasa daripadanya,seperti berikut:

1. Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Pendaftaran Jurukur

(Pindaan), 1973.

2. Seksyen 3 dalam Akta Pendaftaran Jurukur, 1967 (kemudiandaripada ini disebut "Akta ibu") adalah dengan ini dipinda denganmemasukkan seksyen-kecil baharu (2A) yang berikut selepassahaja seksyen-kecil (2)

"(2A) Notwithstanding subsection (2), the first Board shallconsist of the following members to be appointed by theMinister

(a) a President appointed from among persons qualified tobe registered as registered Surveyors;

(b) two members being persons qualified to be registered

as registered Quantity Surveyors and holding office assuch in the public service of the Federation;

(c) two members being persons qualified to be registered asregistered General Practice Surveyors and holding officeas such in the public service of the Federation;

(d) one person qualified to be registered as a registeredSurveyor who is in the service of any local authorityor statutory authority;

(e) five persons qualified to be registered as registeredSurveyors who are in private practice or are in fulltime employment of any person or body, not being inthe public service of the Federation or in the service ofany local authority or statutory authority on thenomination of the Council of the Institution ofSurveyors (Malaysia);

(f) one member who shall be a person qualified to be appointed tothe Board of Architects; and

(g) one member on the nomination of the Board of Engineersfrom among members of that Board established underthe Registration of EngineersAct, 1967.".

3. Akta ibu adalah dengan ini dipinda dengan menggantikanseksyen 25 dengan yang berikut

25. Any person who contravenes or fails to complywith any of the provisions of this Act is guilty of an offence and,

where no penalty is expressly provided therefor, is liableon convic tion to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars.".

REGISTRATION OF SURVEYORS (AMENDMENT)ACT, 1973

An Act to amend the Registration of Surveyors Act, 1967.

BE IT ENACTED by the Duli Yang Maha Mulia SeriPaduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agung with the advice andconsent of the Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat inParliament assembled. and by the authority of the same, asfollows

1. This Act may be cited as the Registration of Surveyors(Amendment) Act, 1973.

2. Section 3 of the Registration of Surveyors Act, 1967(hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act") is herebyamended by inserting the following new subsection (2A)immediately after subsection (2)-

"(2A) Notwithstanding subsection (2), the first Boardshall consist of the following members to be appointed bythe Minister-

(a) a President appointed from among persons qualified to be

registered as registered Surveyors;(b) two members being persons qualified to beregistered as registered Quantity Surveyors andholding office as such in the public service of theFederation:

(c) two members being persons qualified to beregistered as registered General Practice Surveyorsand holding office as such in the public service ofthe Federation;

(d) one person qualified to be registered as a registeredSurveyor who is in the service of any localauthority or statutory authority;

3. The principal Act is hereby amended by substituting forsection 25 the following
