Kertas Projek PROFIL STAIL BELAJAR MURID-MURID SEKOLAH RENDAH PELBAGAI PENCAPAIAN https://marhainidamia.wordpress.com/kertas-projek/11082015 BAB 1 PENDAHULUAN 1.1 PENGENALAN Bab ini menjelaskan kajian mengenai profil stail belajar murid-murid sekolah rendah di beberapa sekolah kawasan bandar, pinggir bandar dan luar bandar di negeri Melaka. Tajuk yang akan dibincangkan dalam bab ini ialah merangkumi latar belakang kajian, penyataan masalah, kerangka konseptual, tujuan kajian,objektif kajian, persoalan kajian, hipotesis kajian, kepentingan kajian, batasan kajian, definisi operasional dan rumusan. 1.2 LATAR BELAKANG MASALAH Berdasarkan Rancangan Malaysia Kesepuluh (2011-2015) menunjukkan bahawa bidang pendidikan merupakan satu di antara bidang keberhasilan negara (NKRA) yang perlu diberi perhatian oleh setiap golongan masyarakat. Beberapa kajian antarabangsa menunjukkan prestasi pelajar Malaysia merosot berbanding dengan pelajar negara lain. Mengikut Trends In International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), 2007 lebih kurang 20% daripada pelajar Malaysia gagal mencapai tanda aras minimum dalam Matematik dan Sains. Di samping itu, tenaga kerja secara relatifnya adalah tidak mahir. Sebanyak 77% daripada tenaga kerja hanya mempunyai pendidikan asas selama 11 tahun iaitu Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) atau setaraf dengannya dan hanya 28% daripada kumpulan pekerjaan berkemahiran tinggi. Jika dibuat perbandingan dengan Pembangunan Pendidikan di Republik Korea didapati mereka amat menekankan pendidikan di mana memastikan semua pelajar disokong dan boleh berjaya tanpa mengenepikan pelajar yang berprestasi rendah.
