2.3.2019. Reason Diversion of existing 600mm MS water pipeline to

facilitate JKR road widening works. PENANG, Monday (25.2.2019): Water supply to some areas along Jalan Besar Simpang Ampat in Seberang Prai will be interrupted for 12 hours, from 10.00pm on Friday, 1.3.2019 to 10.00am on Saturday, 2.3.2019. Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) will temporarily shut down an existing 600mm MS (mild steel) water supply pipeline to facilitate a pipe diversion project at a stream crossing near Taman Tempua. The pipe diversion works must be carried out to accommodate a Public Works Department (JKR) road widening project in the area. Affected Consumers This scheduled water supply interruption will affect about 9,000 people and two schools. Water consumers in the following 8 affected areas are requested to store sufficient water beforehand, for use from 10.00pm on Friday, 1.3.2019 – Saturday, 10.00am on 2.3.2019:
