    1 A student carries out an experiment to investigate the relationship between the refractive

    index, n and the reciprocal of sinus of refractive angle,r sin

    1 of five mediums with different

    density.

    This experiment begin with put a perspex medium with refractive index of 1.49 on a sheet of white paper. The outline of the sides, ABCD are traced on the white paper as shown onDiagram 1.0. A ray of light from the ray box is directed along the 30 0 from normal line to thecentre of AB plane. The perspex slab is removed. The point of incident and the corresponding

    point of emergence are joined as shown on Diagram 1.1. The respective angle, r is measuredwith a protractor.

    The procedure is repeated with using different transparent medium as crown glass, flint glass,

    rutile and gallium phosphate, where their refractive index are 1.52, 1.66, 2.40 and 2.91

    respectively. The incident angle used are the same. The refractive angle of the mediums areshown in Diagram 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5.

    Seorang murid menjalankan eksperimen untuk menyiasat hubungan antara ideks

    biasan, n dengan salingan sinus sudut biasan,r sin

    1bagi lima medium yang berlainan

    ketumpatan.

    Eksperimen ini dimulakan dengan meletakkan satu medium bongkah perspek yang mempunyai indeks biasan 1.49 di atas sehelai kertas putih. Sempadan ABCD bagi medium

    perspeks tersebut dilukiskan seperti Rajah 1.0. Satu sinar cahaya dipancarkan 30 0 dari garisnormal tepat pada tengah-tengah satah AB. Kemudian bongkah perspek dialihkan . Titik-titik

    yang telah ditandakan kemudian disambungkan dengan garis-garis lurus seperti yang ditunjukkan pada Rajah 1.1. Kemudian sudut biasan, r diukur menggunakan protraktor.

    Kaedah eksperimen diulangi dengan menggunakan medium lutsinar seperti crown glass, flint glass, rutile dan gallium phosphate, di mana indeks niasan masing-masing ialah 1.52,1.66, 2.40 dan 2.90. Sudut tuju yang digunakan adalah sama. Sudut biasan bagi medium-medium tersebut ditunjukkan seperti pada Rajah 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 dan 1.5.

    3 Diagram 3.1 shows a boy lifted up a rock in the sea water.Diagram 3.2 shows the boy lifted up the rock at the surface of the sea water. He feel muchheavier than before.

    4 A student investigating the performance of a dc motor ..

    Diagram 4.1 shows the final position of the load if the student connected the motor to adry cell. Then the student connected the motor to two dry cell and the final position of theload lifted is shown in Diagram 4.2.

    Both of the experiment are started which the load is on the floor..

    Seorang pelajar menjalankan penyiasatan prestasi sebuah moto a.t. Rajah 4.1 menunjukkan kedudukan akhir beban apabila pelajar tersebut menyambungkan motor itu dengan satu sel kering. Kemudian pelajar itumenyambungkan motor itu dengan dua sel kering dan kedudukkan akhir beban ituterangkat seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam Rajah 4.2.

    Kedua-dua eksperimen dimulakan dengan beban berada di atas lantai.
