PENGHARGAAN

Alhamdulillah. Bersyukur ke hadrat Ilahi kerana dengan limpah kurniaNya saya telah dapat menyiapkan Folio Kerjaya sebagai Jurutera Aeronautik dan Avionik ini dalam tempoh masa yang telah ditetapkan.

Pertama sekali, saya ingin mengucapkan jutaan terima kasih kepada pihak MRSM Kuala Berang kerana telah memberi saya peluang untuk membuat folio ini sebagai persediaan awal untuk menghadapi MOCK Interview yang akan berlangsung pada Minggu Aktiviti Semester 2 nanti.

Terima kasih juga saya ucapkan buat kedua-dua orang tua saya, En Mohd Irwan Kuan bin Abdullah dan Pn Bahayah bt Zahaman yang telah banyak memberi sokongan dan dorongan sepanjang saya menyiapkan tugasan ini. Segala pengorbanan dan sen yang ayahanda dan bonda keluarkan akan saya balas dengan kejayaan yang cemerlang kelak. InsyaAllah.

Seterusnya saya ingin mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada rakan-rakan saya yang sanggup meluangkan masa bersama saya menyiapkan folio ini walaupun mereka juga sibuk menyiapkan folio mereka tersendiri.Mereka juga telah menemani saya sewaktu saya pergi mencari maklumat.

Alhamdulillah. Grateful to God for the given I have been able to complete Folio career as an Engineer in Mechanical within the given time. First of all, I would like to thank the MRSM Kuala Berang for giving me the opportunity to make this folio as early preparation to face mock interviews to be held in Semester 2 Week activities later.

Thanks also goes for both my parents, Mr. Mohd Irwan Kuan bin Abdullah and Ms. Bahayah bt Zahaman have a lot of support and encouragement throughout my complete this task. All the sacrifices and cents that would given out by the father and the mother responded to my future success. Insya-Allah.

Pendahuluan

Saya telah diwajibkan untuk menyiapkan folio kerjaya. Disebabkan minat yang mendalam terhadap kejuruteraan mekanikal.Saya telah memutuskan untuk membuat folio tentang kerjaya jurutera mekanikal.Saya dapat hasilkan folio ini dalam masa kurang daripada seminggu.Saya mendapat bahan tentang projek ini melalui laman web dan juga majalah-majalah dan artikel. Saya memilih kerjaya kejuruteraan mekanikal kerana saya amat meminati subjek yang berkaitan kimia,matematik,dan subjek kira-kira yang lain. Melalui folio ini saya dapat ketahui banyak maklumat tentang kejuruteraan kimia yang bakal saya terajui setelah tamat pengajian nanti.Saya juga dapat mengetahui tentang sejarah kejuruteraan kimia.Tanpa membuat folio ini sudah tentu sukar untuk saya memahami apa sebenarnya kejuruteraan kimia tersebut. Sebenarnya, bidang kejuruteraan mekanikal mempunyai pelbagai cabang.Antaranya, thermodynamic, aerodynamic fluid mechanical dan banyak lagi. Malah ia juga melibatkan ekonomi Di samping itu,saya juga dapat mengetahui tentang cabaran dan dugaan yang bakal menimpa seseorang jurutera mekanikal itu yang mana setiap hari mereka berhadapan dengan maut.Sememangnya kerana mereka berhadapan dengan mesin-mesin serta alat yang berisiko tinggi.Akhir sekali,saya dapat tahu tentang kelebihan seorang pekerja kejuruteraan mekanikal tersebut.

INTRODUCTIONFirst of all I was required to complete the career folio. Because of interest in the mechanical engineering. I have decided to make a folio of career of mechanical engineer. I have to produce this folio in less than a week. I get the materials on the project web site and also some magazines and articles.

I chose a career in mechanical engineering because I was very interested in subjects related to chemistry, mathematics, and the subject of some others.

Through this folio can I find out more information about the future of chemical engineering after my graduation later. I can also find out about the history of mechanical engineering. If I not finish making this folio, its certainly difficult for me to understand what mechanical engineering really is. In fact, the field of mechanical engineering has many branch. There are thermodynamic, fluid mechanical and aerodynamic an so much more. It also involves economic

In addition, I also know about the trials and challenges that would befall a mechanical engineer is that each day they are faced with death. It is true as they deal with machines and tools that very risky. At last, I found out about the advantages of an employee of the mechanical engineering.

What is Mechanical Engineering?Mechanical engineers design and develop everything you think of as a machine - from supersonic fighter jets to bicycles to toasters. And they influence the design of other products as well - shoes, light bulbs and even doors. Many mechanical engineers specialize in areas such as manufacturing, robotics, automotive/transportation and air conditioning. Others cross over into other disciplines, working on everything from artificial organs to the expanding field of nanotechnology. And some use their mechanical engineering degree as preparation for the practice of medicine and law. The mechanical engineer may design a component, a machine, a system or a process. Mechanical engineers will analyze their design using the principles of motion, energy, and force to insure the product functions safely, efficiently, reliably, and can be manufactured at a competitive cost.

Mechanical engineers work in the automotive, aerospace, chemical, computer, communication, paper, and power generation industries. Mechanical engineers will be found in virtually any manufacturing industry. Increasingly, mechanical engineers are needed in the environmental and bio-medical fields. Indeed virtually every product or service in modern life has probably been touched in some way by a mechanical engineer.

Mechanical Engineers study:

Statics: How are forces transmitted to and throughout a structure? Dynamics: What are the velocities,accelerations and resulting forces for a system in motion?

Kinematics: How does a mechanism behave as it moves through its range of motion? Strength of Materials: Is the component strong enough to support the loads? Is it stiff enough?

Materials Science: Which material has the optimum properties? Thermodynamics : How does energy get converted to useful power? What are the losses? Fluid Mechanics: What is the pressure drop due to the fluid flow? What are the aerodynamic drag forces?

Heat Transfer: How do you calculate heat transfer rates from temperature data? How do you predict the temperature distributions?

Manufacturing: What manufacturing processes do you select? Machine Design: How do you synthesize all of the above? Electrical Circuits: How do you integrate electronic controls into your design? Laboratory Methods: How do you make and interpret both thermal and mechanical measurements?

Vibrations: How do you predict and control vibrations? Engineering Economics: How do you estimate manufacturing costs?
