Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.

Last Sunday, I was about to go home from school. I was standing at the main entrance, waiting for my mother to take me home since my father was still in the office and could not fetch me. The road in front of the school was busy. The bus drivers were honking. Some children were running across the road to get to their cars and buses.

Just then I saw a young boy dashing across the road without even looking left and right. All of a sudden, there was a loud blare of horn and a squeal of brakes. Right before my eyes, an accident happened. A car knocked into the boy. He fell as though his feet were swept from under him.

As good luck would have it, the car was not moving very fast and the driver was able to stop his car before his car could run over the fallen boy. At the drop of a hat, I ran over to the boy and saw blood on the road. He was bleeding from a cut on his forehead. A passer-by came and examined him. Then he lifted the boy and carried him into his car. The driver wasted no time and drove the boy to the nearest hospital.

Many people surrounded the driver who looked a bit puzzled. A patrol car then arrived and a policeman got out of the car and started to do some investigations. Just then, somebody patted my shoulder. I turned around and smiled. We walked to our car. Indeed, it was terrible to witness an accident. It was a good lesson for me in fact. I knew I should always be careful if I were to cross a road.31Where was the writer ?

Mrs. Lim :Very well children. For our lesson today, we are going to talk about pets that you keep at home. So, let's start with Amisya.

Amisya:I have a Persian cat. I started keeping it since I was 10 years old. It is a beautiful cat. My father bought it for me on my birthday in January. I hope to get another cat when UPSR is over this year. That is all, teacher.

Mrs. Lim:Thank you very much. If any of you interested to find more about Persian cats, perhaps you can browse certain websites. Raju, what about you?

Raju:As for me, I own a hamster which I bought from a pet shop in my neighbourhood. It is small, white and looks very cute. I put it in a cage. Everyday, I feed it with special food. I have a picture of my pet here.

Mrs. Lim:I see. Anybody else wants to share their pets?

Wong:Me. I keep an iguana in my room. It looks weird but it is gentle. My younger sister is afraid of my pet but I always tell her it won't harm anybody. It does not move much. Whenever I am alone in my room and feel a bit lonely, my iguana will be my best companion.

Mrs. Lim:Okay guys. I think I have heard enough about your pets. For your homework, you can get more ideas from the Science books on the shelves. You can borrow them and take home for your references.
