Hamamatsu Sys- tems, Inc., will continue in the RKB location at 5 Alfred Circle, Bedford, Mass. Gelman Instrument Co. (600 South Wagner Rd., P.O. Box 1448, Ann Arbor, Mich.) has announced the for- mation of a new air analysis division. Products manufactured and distribut- ed by the new division include: Gel- man's line of glass fiber and mem- brane filters, specifically designed for air sampling analyses; an extensive se- lection of open and closed filter hold- ers for atmospheric and in-line appli- cations; and a new line of field moni- tors suited for personal and open sam- pling, or attached to a cyclone sam- pling apparatus. In addition, Gelman will distribute a particle analyzer which is designed to count particles in the size range of 0.5-400 μιη. The International Conference on Modern Trends in Activation Anal- ysis has been held in Texas (1961 and 1965), Washington (1968), Paris (1972), and Munich (1976). The 1980 meeting will deal with original recent work on techniques and applications of activation analysis in many areas of science, technology, and medicine. A commercial exhibition will also be held concurrently with the conference. The choice of a site for the conference will be made early in 1978. Organiza- tions and individuals wishing to be in- cluded in the consultations leading to the selection of a site are invited to write to: J. M. A.
