Tabbat is a curse. It appears twice in the first ayahat the beginning,it says its a curse, and at the end, confirms the realitythat he is ursed.( Cursed :Perished , ruined )

Carrier of Firewood. (2 reasons) :The wife of Abu Lahab used to ignitepeople. Oh did you hear what so-and-so said about you?Oh do you know what that other person did? To make them hate eachother; like she carries the wood to fan the fire. The other reason is that she used to

carry thorns and put them in the pathway of the Messenger of Allah , so hed beharmed.

A Necklace of Fire. Hellfire is enough of a punishmentbut on top, shell be given anecklace of fire. Why? Because she had a beautifulnecklace, and she pledged it at afundraiser so she could use the wealth to harm the Messenger of Allah.

The story behind the revelation of Suratul-Masad is very sadRasulullah wanted to make Dawah to his people,.

After 3 years of secret dawah ,Rasulullah was told to teach his people,

so he climbed up Mount Safa.When he got to the top of the mountain he called the people tocome listen to him. He called out wooooaaaaaah subaaahaaaaah,Oh people come here!Rasulullah started by asking a questionIf I told you all that an enemy was going to attack you would you all believe me?They all trusted Rasulullah because they knew he never told lies. They knew he wouldnever trick them. So the people said, yes, they would believe him. Everyone waited for

the newsThen Rasulullahtold themVerily, I am a warner (sent) to you all before the coming of a severe torment!Rasulullah wanted to teach his people about Islaam, so he started by warning them that

Allah would punish them if they did not stop worshiping idols .Rasulullahs uncle,Abu Lahab, hated Islaam and was not going to keep quiet. He was so angry that he didnot even wait for Rasulullah finish what he had to say.He just stood up and yelled at Rasulullah "Have you gathered us for this?Tabba lak -May you perish!' Allah would not let Abu Lahab get awaywith treating His message and Rasulullah this way, so Allah revealed Suratul-Masad

What did Umm Jameel When Umm Jameel heard about Suratul-Masad she got soangry, she could not stand it! She rushed from her house, grabbed a stone, and headed for

the Kabah to attack Rasulullah.Rasulullah and Abu Bakr , were at the Kabah and saw her coming. But Rasulullah was notworried. He recited a verse from the Quraan, and Allah made it that Umm Jameel couldnot see him.

At night Umm Jameel would sneak over to Rasulullahs house and place thorny branches atthe front door, hoping that when he came out in the morning he would step on them andget hurt!

Suratul-Masad is a message for Abu Lahab and Umm Jameel, and for anyone who hatesIslaam, like they did.

Allah did not like what Abu Lahab and his wife were doing, so He sent them a specialmessage in Suratul-Masad.

Abu Lahabs wife name was Arwah bint Harb, Umm Jameel was her kunya.
