O ACORDE ERRANTE / THE WANDERING CHORD - Short Fiction Video, FullHD DSLR and archive footage, 12mns, 2010
The short combines original footage with images from the director`s personal archives. The filmmaker Helena Ignez, the muse of Brazilian marginal cinema, makes a guest appearance on the film. Based on the idea that the lover builds an image of the loved object that is never real, the short narrates the delusions of a young man and his efforts to deal with a lover`s discourse. When the character`s real memories are totally mixed with fictional images, he finds himself guided by nostalgia and despair. Wagner`s Tristan and Isolde`s wandering chords are the leitmotiv of his personal tragedy.
