1. The first three terms of an arithmetic progression are 3h, k  , h+2.   3h , k , h+2.

  Tiga sebutan pertama suatu janjang aritmetik ialah 3h, k  , h+2.   3h , k , h+2.

(i) express k  in terms of  h.  Ungkapkan k dalam sebutan h.

(ii) find the 10th

 term of the progression in terms of h.  Cari sebutan ke–10 bagi janjang itu dalam sebutan h. [(i) 2h+1, (ii) 9 – 6h]

2. The first three terms of an arithmetic progression are 4v , 3w , 8v – 12 3h , k , h+2.

  Tiga sebutan pertama suatu janjang aritmetik ialah 4v , 3w , 8v – 12 3h , k , h+2.

(i) express w in terms of  v  Ungkapkan w dalam sebutan v.

(ii) find the 11th term of the progression in terms of h.  Cari sebutan ke–11 bagi janjang itu dalam sebutan h. [(i) w=2v – 2 (ii) T11= 24v – 60]

3.  x, 30,  y are consecutie terms in an arithmetic progression,

(i) express y in terms of x

  (ii) find the 12th term of the progression in terms of x.  [(i) y = 60 – x (ii) 330 – 10 x ]

4. The second term of an arithmetic progression is – 3 and the sixth term is 13.

!ind the first term and the common difference of the progression.
