The man received systemic FOLFIRI chemotherapy plus cetuximab at standard dosage [dosage and route not stated]. He received 12 cycles between September 2008 and March 2009, and thereafter continued cetuximab monotherapy on a weekly basis. During cetuximab therapy, he experienced maculopapular exanthema [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. Treatment with antibacterials and corticosteroids resulted in improvement, while direct sun exposure or mechanical irritation from shaving led to temporary worsening. The skin reaction persisted during cetuximab therapy, but did not necessitate treatment discontinuation. Author comment: In terms of adverse effects of cetuximab treatment, the patient suffered only from maculopapular exanthema. Beneˇ s P, et al.
