ABOUT PENGASIH MALAYSIA
.
Lautan Kasih - projek kerjasama di antara PENGASIH dengan pelbagai badan domestik dan antarabangsa. Yang terkini ialah Projek Kenali Anak Kita dengan kerjasama PETRONAS, LPPKN dan PIBG di seluruh Malaysia.
Persatuan PENGASIH Malaysia is registered as an NGO in 1991. Our main activities for the past 22 years are : Rumah PENGASIH - a rehab and treatment centre for recovering addicts using the Peer-Pressure Community System. Seruan Kasih - a continuous drug intervention and prevention campaign to students, youth and communities. Sidang Kasih - a monthly Family Support Group for family members of recovering users. Teduhan Kasih - half-way houses for recovering users to re-enter their mainstream societies by way of work, schooling and training. Khidmat Kasih - economic projects towards self-sustenance for PENGASIH and members of PENGASIH.

- LEADERSHIP / SUCCESSION PLANNING • PENGASIH rehabilitation program is also about self-development (buddy or mentoring system) • Younger staff are attached with senior staff • Young staff members are included in most projects • Young staff members are also appointed in the Management Board of the organization • Always encourage & given the opportunity to attend local & international events
- POLICIES & PROCEDURES - General policies & guidelines for organizational matter are set by Board of Management Committee in
line with the PENGASIH constitution - The rehab. & after-care program have its own set of guidelines & SOP - Other services have its own set of guidelines & SOP
- PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
- The hierarchy are based on personal commitment & results achieved. - Planning & reviews are done collectively, while coaching at individual level. - Staff members begin as volunteers, trained & evaluated (95% are recovering person) - Staff members need to have a strong sense of commitment, dedication & mission (personal growth) - PENGASIH has its own specific system for reviewing the staff performance, - Shortcomings are mainly on professional competency & financial constraints - PENGASIH is planning to design its own personnel KPI
