2 Adalah dimaklumkan Bahagian Dasar Kementerian Penerangan Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan melalui surat bertarikh 24 dan 26 Ogos 2011 memaklumkan bahawa The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) menawar kepada pihak yang berminat untuk mengemukakan cadangan projek pembangunan ICT dan program HRD untuk kedua-dua program seperti di atas
3 Bersama-sama ini disertakan surat dan borang penyertaan beserta Garis Panduan APT sebagai panduan dan borang penyertaan untuk tindakan Y Bhg OatoOatintuanpuan Borang penyertaan dan maklumat lanjut boleh diperolehi dari laman web httpwwwaptintiICT-J2 dan http wwwaptintiICTJ3
4 Borang penyertaan yang lengkap hendaklah dikemukakan kepada Pejabat Pengurusan amp Kreativiti Penyelidikan [RCMO] selewat-Iewatnya pad a 15 Oktober 2011 untuk disampaikan kepada Bahagian Dasar Kementerian Penerangan Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan Untuk makluman tarikh tutup penyertaan di pihak kementerian adalah pada 19 Oktober 2011 Y Bhg OatoOatintuanpuan juga boleh mengemukakan borang penyertaan kepada Cik Sarina Alisaputri melalui emel sarinakpkk90vmy pegawai di Bahagian Dasar Sektor Komunikasi Kementerian sebelum tarikh tutup
5 Y Bhg OatoOatintuanpuan dipohon untuk menghebahkan maklumat ini kepada semua staf di PTJ masing-masing

Dear SirMadam
I am pleased to inform you that the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity is now inviting applications for the ICT Development Programme for Supporting Pilot Projects in Rural Areas funded by the Extra Budgetary Contribution from Japan
The objective of this programme is to narrow the digital divide in the Asia-Pacific region by establishing pilot projects to ensure the access to ICT in rural areas of APT Member countries and to promote and develop leT and Broadband development in the region
This programme was launched in 2005 Since then the criteria has been updated to reflect rapid technological changes and the changing requirements of the industry and the users
Interested APT members are requested fo submit proposals for the pilot project by completing the Application Form and the Accounting Form which are attached to this letter In case of Affiliate Members the proposals should be submitted through the concerned APT Member When there is more than one proposal from a Member we would appreciate it if the Member could prioritize the project proposals upon submission Proposals submitted for the last years selection may be submitted again with the necessary updates
The main conditions of this program are
The maximum ltJmount of the APT support available for one project is US$150OOO However the appropriate amount of the budget for the project will be determined based on careful examinatIon of the proposal prior to project implementation
The project is to be completed within 11 months from the date of announcement of selection by the APT Secretariat
Priority will be given to the project with financial support from the proposing APT Member
Priority will be given to the project in the fields of environment public safety and dIsaster communications
