Puji dan kata syukur penulis ucapkan kehadirat Allah SWT atas segala Karunia-

Nya sehingga penulis dapat menyelesaikan Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) ini

dengan baik. Ini merupakan hasil kerja Program Pengalaman Lapangan selama 3

(tiga) bulan terhitung dari tanggal 01 Juli sampai dengan 04 Oktober 2013.

Dalam penyusunan laporan ini, penulis telah banyak memperoleh bimbingan,

arahan dan fasilitas. Untuk itu melalui kesempatan ini, penulis tidak lupa

mengucapkan terima kasih yang sedalam-dalamnya kepada:

1. Unit Pengelola Pengalaman Lapangan (UPPL) Universitas Negeri Makassar

yang telah memberikan kesempatan kepada kami untuk memprogramkan

mata kuliah PPL.

2. Bapak koordinator PPL yang telah memberikan bekal kepada mahasiswa

sebelum melaksanakan PPL di sekolah-sekolah yang ditunjuk.

BAB IPENDAHULUAN

A. Latar Belakang

Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi merupakan tujuan utama dari semua sistem

pendidikan pada perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tujuan ini harus dikembangkan

secara kontinu karena hal tersebut menjadi pedoman dari segala aktivitas

akademik yang ada. Seperti pada pelaksanaan PPL dan KKN pada setiap

perguruan tinggi.

Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN)

merupakan bagian dari pengaplikasian Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi. Pertama,

Pendidikan dan Pengajaran. Proses mendidik dan mengajar diharapakan dapat

dilaksanakan pada program PPL. Kedua, Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Hal ini

telah terangkum dalam proses penyelesaian studi mahasiswa, yang mana mereka

harus melakukan riset untuk pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Contohnya

pengembangan metode dan strategi pembelajaran. Ketiga, Pengabdian Kepada

Masyarakat. Hal ini termaktub dalam pelaksanaan KKN. Pengabdian kepada

masyarakat ini bersifat umum dalam segi yaitu melakukan pengaplikasian ilmu

langsung kepada masyarakat. Hal itu tidak terikat pada bidang studi yang kita

miliki melainkan seluruh elemen pengetahuan yang dapat membantu dalam

meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Dari tiga isi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi tersebut, poin pertama merupakan

ujung tombak dari pengaplikasi ilmu pengetahuan yaitu Pendidikan dan

Pengajaran, khususnnya bagi kampus yang berlabel pencetak guru seperti




Universitas Negeri Makassar. Namun perlu ditekankan bahwa PPL tidak hanya

sebagai media pengaplikasian ilmu dan metode pengajaran namun lebih kepada

penerapan dan transfer ilmu pengetahuan, karakter beserta pembelajaran interaksi

sosial secara nyata mengenai atmorfer sekolah dan dunia pembelajaran. Jadi

secara tidak langsung, pada mahasiswa PPL belajar berinteraksi sosial dengan

segala carut-marut yang ada di dalamnya.

PPL adalah puncak dari pengaplikasian seluruh program pendidikan yang

dialami mahasiswa kependidikan pada Universitas Negeri Makassar. Segala

teori yang telah didapatkan di bangku perkuliahan hanya sebagai bekal yang

harus bisa diaplikasikan oleh mahasiswa PPL. Jadi perlu diperhatikan bahwa

dalam pembekalan teori dalam bangku perkuliah sangat membantu pada

pelaksanaan PPL, namun hal tetap dibutuhkan langka taktis untuk segala

kemungkinan yang terjadi pada pelaksanaan PPL.

B. Permasalahan dan Pemecahannya

1. Permasalahan

Permasalah yang dihadapai oleh mahasiswa PPL pada umumnya

berkutat menganai proses transfer ilmu pengetahuan. Baik dari segi interaksi

atau komunikasi yang tidak terjalin secara seimbang baik antara mahasiswa

PPL dengan siswa ataupun antara siswa dengan siswa. Hal ini

mengakibatkan perhatian siswa sering teralihkan dari guru maupun

mahasiswa PPL saat penyampaian materi pembelajaran, sehingga proses

belajar mengajar berjalan tidak seperti seharusnya. Untuk mengatasi hal




tersebut, guru maupun mahasiswa PPL perlu melakukan berbagai

pembaruan teknik maupun gaya mengajar, sehingga perhatian siswa dapat

kembali terfokus terhadap apa yag diajarkan dan disampaikan oleh guru.

Permasalahan lainnya yang sering dihadapi oleh guru maupun

mahasiswa PPL dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas adalah

rendahnya minat siswa terhadap materi yang akan disampaikan ataupun

mata pelajaran yang disajikan. Hal tersebut secara teori dapat dijelaskan,

bahwa rendahnya minat siswa tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh faktor intern

maupun ekstern. Faktor intern antara lain meliputi sikap, watak, maupun

sifat dari siswa itu sendiri. Sementara faktor ekstern meliputi lingkungan

sekitar siswa, dapat berasal dari lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, maupun

tempat tinggal. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, guru maupun mahasiswa PPL

perlu melakukan berbagai pendekatan secara persuasif terhadap siswa

sehingga siswa tidak hanya menganggap guru maupun mahasiswa PPL

sebagai pengajar dikelas, namun juga sebagai teman maupun saudara

mereka.

Disamping itu, masalah lain yang biasanya muncul adalah masalah

waktu. Biasanya, alokasi waktu yang ditetapkan telah habis namun materi

belum selesai untuk satu pertemuan. Untuk menghindari hal yang demikian

maka pengajar harus mampu menggunakan waktu seefektif dan seefisien

mungkin.




Permasalahan lain yang juga sering muncul adalah sulitnya

membimbing siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar hingga siswa mengerti

materi yang diberikan. Selain itu, siswa juga memiliki kebiasaan bercerita di

kelas pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung.

2. Pemecahan Masalah

a. Proses Belajar Mengajar

Masalah yang dirasakan mahasiswa PPL dalam kegiatan ini adalah

kurangnya kekompakan antara siswa (kerja sama antar siswa) di kelas,

sehingga tenaga pendidik harus menyiasati dengan cara menggunakan

variasi belajar yang dapat menciptakan suasana keakraban antar siswa,

sehingga kerja sama antar siswa dapat terjalin dengan sendirinya.

Kurangnya minat siswa untuk belajar dan banyaknya siswa yang

berasumsi bahwa belajar bahasa Inggris itu susah, sehingga tidak hanya

cukup dengan menghapal tetapi juga pemahaman terhadap konsep yang

merupakan salah satu kendala yang dirasakan oleh siswa dalam

menguasai materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, beberapa

siswa terkadang tidak mau berpisah dengan teman akrab mereka pada

saat pembagian kelompok belajar sehingga kadang kala tidak ada kerja

sama yang terjadi antara siswa yang satu dengan siswa yang lain

sehingga pengaturan kelompok belajar demi terciptanya model

pembelajaran kooperatif dan integrated skill strategy menjadi sulit.




Beberapa siswa juga belum mempunyai kesadaran penuh untuk

menggali sendiri pengetahuannya. Olehnya itu, kami dari pihak

mahasiswa PPL berupaya untuk senantiasa mengkonsultasikan dengan

guru pamong dan dosen pembimbing tentang teknik atau gaya mengajar

yang akan diterapkan dikelas sehingga siswa tetap antusias menerima

materi pelajaran.

Selain itu, usaha yang dilakukan oleh guru dan khususnya

mahasiswa PPL adalah melakukan pendekatan-pendekatan persuasif

kepada siswa dan bimbingan lain guna memberikan masukan

bagaimana cara dan teknik belajar yang baik agar siswa dapat mengatur

waktunya dalam belajar, hal-hal yang dilakukan sebagai berikut:

1) Konsultasi dengan guru pamong dalam pembuatan silabus mata

pelajaran dan rancangan pembelajaran.

2) Membuat rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebelum mengajar.

3) Menguasai dengan baik materi yang nantinya akan diajarkan.

4) Menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi

pelajaran yang akan diajarkan.

5) Menggunakan berbagai cara dan teknik yang kreatif dan inovatif

dalam upaya menarik minat siswa untuk mengikuti pelajaran,

seperti media pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga siswa tertarik

untuk belajar.




6) Tidak mengajar secara monoton sehingga siswa tidak merasa jenuh

dalam belajar, guru dalam hal ini mahasiswa PPL menyediakan

media pembalajaran yang menarik atau memberikan games yang

berhubungan dengan pelajaran.

7) Memberikan teguran pada siswa yang tidak memperhatikan materi

yang disampaikan oleh pendidik (guru).

b. Partisipasi dan Adaptasi Lingkungan

Dalam meningkatkan interaksi keakraban antara mahasiswa PPL

dengan pihak sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng, maka

mahasiswa mengikuti setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh pihak

sekolah. Kegiatan tersebut, antara lain terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstra

kurikuler bahasa Inggris, ECC yang dilaksanakan setiap hari selasa

pukul 14.00, Extra kurikuler KIR yang dilaksanakan setiap hari kamis

pukul 14.00, Bimbingan Belajar Bahasa Inggris pada hari rabu pukul

14.00, menjadi pendamping latihan Nasyid SMAN 1 Watansoppeng,

serta ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan dan program kerja OSIS dan

organisasi lainnya di SMAN 1 Watansoppeng.

C. Tujuan Mengikuti PPL

PPL diberikan kepada mahasiswa dengan maksud memberikan pengalaman

kepada calon guru tentang tugas mengajar dan tugas kependidikan lainnya.

Tujuan PPL ini dapat dibagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu tujuan umum dan tujuan

khusus.




1. Tujuan Umum

PPL bertujuan memberikan pengalaman kependidikan secara faktual

dilapangan kepada mahasiswa sebagai wahana terbentuknya tugas

kependidikan yang profesional yaitu tenaga kependidikan yang memiliki

seperangkat pengetahuan, keterampilan, nilai, dan sikap yang diperlukan

bagi profesinya serta mampu menerapkannya dalam penyelenggaraan

kependidikan dan pengajaran baik di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah.

2. Tujuan Khusus

Tujuan khusus yang diharapkan dapat dicapai mahasiswa melalui PPL

kependidikan adalah:

a. Mengenal secara cermat lingkungan sosial, fisik, administrasi, dan

akademik sekolah sebagai tempat kerja.

b. Menerapkan berbagai kemampuan keguruan atau kependidikan secara

utuh dan terintegrasi dalam situasi sebenarnya.

c. Menarik pelajaran dan pengalaman penghayatan yang direfleksikan

kedalam perilaku sehari-hari.

D. Kegunaan PPL Bagi Mahasiswa dan Pendidikan

Adapun kegunaan PPL bagi mahasiswa dan pendidikan adalah sebagai

berikut:

1. Berkenalan dengan pemimpin sekolah, guru pamong, dan guru lainnya serta

staf tata usaha di SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng, sehingga dapat terjalin

interaksi dan komunikasi yang baik dengan mahasiswa PPL dan dapat




memperlancar tugas-tugas dalam praktik mengajar.

2. Dapat menambah pengalaman tentang tata cara pelaksanaan proses belajar

mengajar di sekolah.

3. Berkenalan dengan guru-guru dapat menambah wawasan saya tentang

tugas-tugas seorang guru khususnya guru mata pelajaran maupun sebagai

wali kelas.

4. Dapat mengetahui tata cara guru dalam mengelola kelas, apakah sudah

sesuai dengan teori dan praktik.

5. Berkenalan dengan staf tata usaha yang dapat memudahkan mahasiswa

selama melaksanakan tugas sebagai mahasiswa PPL.

6. Mahasiswa sebagai calon guru dapat berhubungan langsung dengan

lingkungan sekolah dalam kedudukannya sebagai seorang guru. Masalah-

masalah kependidikan dan non kependidikan yang dihadapi dalam latihan

merupakan pengalaman harus diantisipasi pada masa yang akan datang

sehingga masalah itu tidak akan muncul dengan mengambil suatu jalan

keluar yang efektif dan efisien.




BAB IIHASIL PELAKSANAAN PPL

A. Observasi dan Orientasi Sekolah

Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan perkenalan bagi mahasiswa peserta PPL

agar dapat mengenal bagaimana lingkungan sekolah yang akan ditempati untuk

mengajar. Selain itu, hal ini akan dapat memudahkan peserta PPL beradaptasi

dengan lingkungan sekolah, yang berorientasi pada keadaan fisik sekolah,

keadaan sosial sekolah, persoalan kurikulum dan pembelajaran, serta

rencana/program kegiatan PPL yang kesemuanya akan terangkum dalam satu

bentuk laporan singkat.

Observasi dan orientasi ini dilakukan di sekolah SMA Negeri 1

Watansoppeng, Kelurahan Botto, Kecamatan Lalabata, Kabupaten Soppeng.

Kegiatan observasi tersebut dilaksanakan dengan cara pengamatan langsung dan

sosialisasi dengan berbagai pihak yakni kepala sekolah, pegawai dan tata usaha,

para guru, dan siswa yang bersangkutan serta pengambilan beberapa dokumen-

dokumen yang relevan dengan keadaan sekolah.

1. Kegiatan Observasi dan Orientasi di Sekolah Latihan

Kegiatan obeservasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa PPL sebagai berikut:

a. Penyerahan mahasiswa PPL dari pihak Universitas Negeri Makassar

diwakili Dosen Pembimbing kepada pihak SMA Negeri 1

Watansoppeng.

b. Penerimaan di sekolah dengan sambutan dari kepala sekolah mewakili

seluruh elemen SMAN 1 Watansoppeng pada hari Kamis 04 Juli 2013.




c. Berkenalan dengan kepala sekolah, guru pamong, dan staf sekolah

lainnya.

d. Obsevasi sekolah, gedung sekolah, ruangan, dan fasilitas lainnya.

e. Menanyakan tentang tata tertib sekolah, tata tertib guru, tata tertib staf

pegawai dan sebagainya, terutama tugas-tugas pengajaran yang akan

dilakukan oleh mahasiswa PPL.

f. Berkenalan dengan siswa, terutama siswa yang di ajar.

g. Mempelajari model-model pembelajaran.

h. Mengobservasi pelaksanaan mengajar guru pamong dan mahasiswa

(pair teaching) PPL dengan memperhatikan:

a) Cara mengajar atau metode mengajar

b) Cara guru mengelolah kelas, dsb.

i. Merencanakan kegiatan praktek pengalaman lapangan selanjutnya,

yang meliputi

a. Kegiatan teaching

b. Kegiatan non teaching

j. Menyampaikan hasil observasi dan orientasi kepada guru pamong dan

dosen tutor atau pembimbing untuk ditandatangani dan diberi nilai.

2. Waktu Pelaksanaan

Pelaksanaan PPL di SMAN 1 Watangsoppeng dimulai pada tanggal

02 Juli 2013 sampai 30 September 2013. Hal ini sudah termasuk observasi,

orientasi dan pelaksanaan PPL.




3. Proses Pembimbingan

Adapun proses pembimbingan selama masa observasi dan orientasi

sekolah adalah sebagai berikut:

a. Dosen Pembimbing menjelaskan kepada mahasiswa tentang tugas yang

akan dilaksanakan khususnya dalam kegiatan observasi orientasi.

b. Pelaksanaan kegiatan selanjutnya dikoordinasi oleh dosen tutor dan

guru pamong.

c. Mahasiswa menghadiri acara penerimaan di ruang guru SMAN 1

Watansoppeng sehingga dapat berkenalan secara langsung dengan

kepala sekolah dan guru pamong serta guru-guru yang lain.

5. Sejarah Singkat

Sekolah ini dibangun pada tahun 1961 berdasarkan Surat Keputusan

(SK) Menteri Pendidikan Dasar dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia

bernomor 151/SK/B/III tertanggal 5 Oktober 1961. Di masa awal

pendiriannya, sekolah ini bernama SMA Negeri 200 Watansoppeng, dan

seiring dengan waktu, pada tahun 1990 sekolah tersebut mengalami

perubahan nama menjadi SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng sampai sekarang.

Sekolah tersebut merupakan sekolah unggulan di Kabupaten Soppeng.

Sejak tahun pelajaran 2006/2007 SMA Negeri 1 Soppeng secara

mandiri terus meningkatkan kemampuan guru, menambah fasilitas,

mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis ICT, dan membangun situs (website

sekolah). SMA Negeri 1 Soppeng mulai tahun pelajaran 2007/2008

ditetapkan sebagai rintisan Sekolah Kategori Mandiri (SKM)/Sekolah

Standar Nasional (SSN) dibawah pembinaan Direktorat Pembinaan SMA

Direktorat Jenderal Managemen Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah

Departemen Pendidikan Nasional. Pada tahun yang sama SMA Negeri 1

Watansoppeng ditetapkan sebagai salah satu sekolah rintisan Pusat Sumber

Belajar (PSB) atau Learning Resource Center (LRC), antara lain melalui

pembelajaran berbasis web (Web Based Learning/WBL). Pada tanggal 10

Agustus Tahun 2013 diadakan Reuni Akbar guna mengenang sejarah dan

sebagai stimulus untuk menjalin silaturahmi dari seluruh elemen SMAN 1

Watansoppeng dari yang terdahulu hingga sekarang.

Salah satu hal yang mendukung berkembangnya SMA Negeri 1

9. Keadaan Siswa

SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng memiliki berbagai jenis tingkatan

kemampuan siswa, walaupun sekolah ini memiliki predikat sekolah

unggulan. Siswa yang ingin menimba ilmu di SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng

ini dapat diterima melalui sistem seleksi bagi siswa yang lulus dari sekolah

menengah pertama atau sederajat, baik penduduk / masyarakat Soppeng

ataupun masyarakat luar.

Waktu belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng pada umumnya

untuk hari Senin - Sabtu dimulai pukul 07.15 – 13.45 WITA. Selain itu, hari

Jum’at dimulai pukul 07.30 – 11.00 WITA.

11. Kesan Umum

SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng merupakan SMA yang menjadi ikon di

Kabupaten Soppeng. Dengan predikat tersebut, penulis melihat dan

menyaksikan langsung baik dari sarana dan prasarana, proses belajar

mengajar, potensi pendidik dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar

dan kemampuan peserta didik dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar.

Alhamdulillah, penulis mengakui bahwa predikat tersebut sangatlah

wajar untuk disandang. Hal ini sejalan dengan jalur roda sekolah ini untuk

menjadi sekolah yang berprestasi, berkreasi dan berbudaya. Sekolah ini

sangatlah antusias dalam meningkatkan prestasi dan kreativitas siswa

melalui penguasaaan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi Informasi serta

Komunikasi.

Sekolah tidak hanya berpacu dari segi penguasaaan Ilmu Pengetahuan

dan Teknologi Informasi serta Komunikasinya tetapi juga mensejajarkan

posisi tersebut dengan berpacu dari segi Iman dan Ketakwaan yang

dibuktikan dari pelaksanaan Sekolah yang mencerminkan basis pendidikan

karakter mulai dari penanaman budaya sipakalebbi, sipakainga, dan

sipakatau serta kesopan-santunan dan keramah-tamahan dari penanaman

budaya 3S (salam, senyum dan sapa).




12. Tata Tertib SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng

Tata tertib dan tatakrama sekolah dimaksudkan sebagai rambu-rambu

bagi siswa, guru dan staf tata usaha dalam bersikap, berucap, bertindak dan

melaksanakan kegiatan sehari-hari di sekolah dalam rangka menciptakan

iklim dan kultur sekolah yang dapat menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran yang

efektif. Hal ini dibuat berdasarkan nilai-nilai yang dianut sekolah dan

masyarakat, yang meliputi agama dan kepercayaan, sopan santun,

kedisiplinan dan ketertiban, kebersihan, kesehatan, kerapian, keamanan dan

lain-lain yang mendukung kegiatan belajar yang efektif.

a. Tata Tertib untuk Siswa

Dalam rangka mewujudkan suasana sekolah yang kondusif dan

kegiatan proses belajar mengajar di SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng,

berlangsung dengan lancar, harus didukung dengan tata tertib siswa

meliputi hal-hal pokok yaitu kewajiban, larangan, sanksi, dan

penghargaan.

1) Kewajiban

a) Siswa harus berperilaku sopan, hormat terhadap Bapak/Ibu

Guru, dan mempererat kasih sayang sesama teman.

b) Siswa wajib menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai budaya yang

berdasarkan Pancasila dan UUD 1945.

c) Siswa wajib menjunjung tinggi dan menjaga nama baik

sekolah.




d) Siswa wajib mengenakan seragam sekolah dengan ketentuan

sebagai berikut:

Senin dan selasa mengenakan seragam putih abu-abu

lengkap (tidak ketat), dasi, pet, sabut hitam, dan sepatu

hitam (kaos putih) dan mengenakan baju dalam putih.

Rabu dan Kamis mengenakan seragam baju batik,

rok/celana abu-abu, sabut hitam dan sepatu hitam (kaos

putih) serta mengenakan baju dalam putih.

Jum’at dan Sabtu mengenakan seragam Pramuka (jilbab

sesuai warna rok), sabut hitam, sepatu hitam, kaos kaki

hitam, dan mengenakan baju dalam hitam.

Siswa wajib memakai kaos kaki minimal 3 (tiga) cm di

atas mata kaki.

e) Siswa harus sudah berada di sekolah 5 menit sebelum bel

masuk.

f) Selama PBM berlangsung siswa wajib berada di kelas dan

mengikuti pelajaran dengan sungguh-sungguh.

g) Siswa wajib menjaga dan memelihara 7 K (Keamanan,

Ketertiban, Keindahan, Kekeluargaan, Kerindangan, dan

Kesehatan) di lingkungan sekolah.




h) Siswa wajib melapor kepada pihak sekolah jika

mengetahui/melihat ada gejala yang tidak baik di lingkungan

sekolah.

i) Siswa wajib berpenampilan rapi, bersih, dan tidak berlebihan.

j) Siswa putra, panjang rambut tidak boleh melebihi 3 (tiga) cm

(3, 2, 1 cm).

k) Segala urusan yang berkaitan dengan sekolah siswa wajib

mengenakan pakaian sesuai dengan ketentuan.

2) Larangan

a) Siswa tidak boleh berkelahi sesama teman, dengan karyawan

dan guru.

b) Siswa tidak boleh membawa barang atau benda dan hal-hal

lain yang tidak ada hubungannya dengan proses belajar

mengajar, seperti: HP, pemutar musik, senjata api, senjata

tajam, obat terlarang, buku komik, dan VCD porno dan alat

kosmetik kecuali bedak, sisir, parfum, dan cermin.

c) Siswa tidak boleh meninggalkan kelas/sekolah tanpa seizin

guru bidang study, wali kelas/guru BK.

d) Siswa tidak boleh membawa dan merokok di lingkungan

sekolah.

e) Siswa tidak boleh membentuk organisasi selain OSIS di

sekolah.




f) Siswa tidak boleh mengenakan pakaian selain seragam yang

ditentukan sekolah dan tidak diperkenankan mengenakan

perhiasan kecuali anting dan jam tangan.

g) Siswa tidak boleh menerima tamu tanpa seizin oleh guru

selama PBM berlangsung.

h) Siswa tidak boleh bermain kartu/judi di lingkungan sekolah.

i) Siswa dilarang memakai rok atau celana gantung dan rok

pinggul.

j) Siswa tidak boleh memakai cat rambut, cat kuku, dan tato.

3) Sanksi

a) Siswa yang datang terlambat lebih dari 5 menit tidak

diperkenankan masuk kelas, sebelum mendapat izin masuk

dari piket/BK.

b) Siswa yang datang terlambat 3 kali, tidak diperkenankan

mengikuti pelajaran sebelum orang tuanya dating

menyelesaikan masalahnya.

c) Siswa yang tidak masuk 3 kali berturut-turut dan tidak ada

informasi dari orang tua/wali siswa akan dipanggil oleh

sekolah untuk membuat pernyataan yang berkaitan dengan

masalahnya.




d) Siswa yang orang tuanya telah mendapat panggilan dari

sekolah tetapi belum memenuhi panggilan itu, maka siswa

tersebut tidak boleh mengikuti pelajaran.

e) Siswa yang sudah menikah, dicabut haknya menjadi siswa

SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng.

f) Siswa yang melanggar ketentuan yang terdapat dalam tata

tertib akan diberikan sanksi sesuai dengan jenis

pelanggarannya.

4) Penghargaan

a) Siswa yang berprestasi akademik kelas paralel untuk kelas X

peringkat 1-10 akan diberikan sertifikat dan hadiah.

b) Siswa yang berprestasi akademik kelas paralel untuk kelas XI

dan XII peringkat 1-3 program BAHASA akan diberikan

sertifikat dan hadiah.

c) Siswa yang berprestasi akademik kelas parallel untuk kelas XI

dan XII program IPA dan IPS peringkat 1-10 akan diberikan

sertifikat dan hadiah.

1. Mengajar Terbimbing

Dalam proses latihan mengajar terbimbing, guru pamong terlebih

dahulu memperlihatkan berbagai macam cara dalam proses belajar-

mengajar di kelas. Sebelum masuk di kelas untuk mengajar, maka terlebih

dahulu mahasiswa PPL harus membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran

2. Mengajar Mandiri

Setelah guru pamong memperlihatkan semua cara atau teknik dalam proses

belajar mengajar maka saatnya mahasiswa melakukan proses belajar mengajar

secara mandiri. Kemandirian tersebut ditandai dengan adanya kegiatan

mahasiswa PPL seperti:

1. Mahasiswa PPL mengisi absensi mengajar setiap jam mengajar di ruang

guru dan menyiapkan RPP sebelum masuk mengajar mandiri di kelas.

2. Membuat persiapan yang baik sehingga menguasai materi yang akan

diajarkan.

3. Menggunakan metode mengajar yang dianggap sesuai dengan materi yang

akan diajarkan.

4. Menggunakan berbagai cara untuk menarik minat siswa dalam mengikuti

pelajaran.

5. Mengawasi siswa yang ujian dan memeriksa hasil ujiannya.

6. Membuat analisis hasil belajar siswa yang meliputi tugas serta membantu

membahas soal-soal yang diberikan.

7. Melaksanakan administrasi kelas yakni membuat atau mengadakan absensi

siswa sebagai upaya memotivasi siswa agar aktif mengikuti pelajaran.

C. Laporan Kegiatan Layanan Bimbingan Siswa

Informasi mengenai layanan atau bimbingan bagi siswa yang bermasalah ini

diperoleh dari bagian BK (bimbingan dan konseling). Umumnya, kasus yang

banyak ditemui adalah pelanggaran tata tertib, misalnya sering terlambat, tidak




hadir karena bolos, pakaian yang tidak rapi, atau karena berkelahi. Semua jenis

pelanggaran akan dicatat oleh personil sekolah yang menemukannya. Selain

dicatat, siswa yang melakukan pelanggaran akan dikenakan sanksi sesuai dengan

tata tertib sekolah.

Selama pelaksanaan PPL, penulis sebagai peserta PPL telah melakukan

pengajaran di kelas XII IPS IV dan XII IPS III serta observasi pada XI IPA III,

XI IPA IV dan XI IPA V. Pada dasarnya siswa kelas XII IPS IV dan XII IPS III

sudah cukup baik dan memiliki kesadaran untuk belajar, namun ada beberapa

pelanggaran siswa yang biasa dijumpai oleh penulis selama melakukan

pengajaran di kelas adalah siswa yang datang terlambat, mengumpulkan tugas

tidak tepat waktu dan bekerja sama saat ulangan. Pembinaan yang diberikan

dimulai dari tahap teguran, peringatan, dan pemberian nasehat untuk tidak

mengulanginya lagi hingga menghadapkan siswa kepada guru Bimbingan dan

Konseling (BK) untuk mendapatkan bimbingan lanjut. Selain itu, instrospeksi

diri dari peserta PPL sebagai calon guru mengenai tingkat kesulitan dan

kemudahan dari soal atau tugas yang diberikan di setiap pertemuannya.

D. Laporan Kegiatan Layanan Administrasi Sekolah, (Pimpinan, Wali Kelas,

Dan Guru Bidang Studi)

1. Administrasi Sekolah

Administrasi sarana dan prasana pendidikan merupakan seluruh proses

kegiatan yang digunakan dan diusahakan dengan bersungguh-sungguh serta

pembinaan secara kontinu agar senantiasa siap dalam proses belajar




mengajar, sehingga proses belajar mengajar semakin efektif dan efesien

guna membantu tujuan pendidikan yang telah ditetapkan.

Adapun Administrasi yang dipakai adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Mengikuti Upacara Bendera

Upacara bendera dilaksanakan setiap hari senin pukul 07.15 Wita.

Diikuti oleh seluruh keluarga besar SMA Negeri 1 Watansoppeng berserta

mahasiswa PPL.




2. Mengikuti pelaksanaan Pesantern Kilat

Pesantern kilan merupakana program tahunan yang dilaksanakan oleh

OSIS SMAN 1 Watangsoppeng tiap tahunnya. Program ini dilaksanakan

pada tanggal 11-13 Juli 2013. Namun hal yang berbeda pada tahun 2013

adalah peserta dari pesantern kilat hanya berfokus pada siswa baru yakni

seluruh siswa kelas X. Seluruh Mahasiswa KKN-PPL SMAN 1

Watansoppeng turut berpartisipasi dalam menyukseskan kegiatan ini.

3. Buka Puasa Bersama

Setelah program Pesantern kilat selsai, disusul oleh program yang

bertujuan guna menjalin tali silaturahmi antara guru, siswa dan mahasiswa

KKN-PPL yaitu Buka puasa bersama pada tanggal 15 juli 2013. Pada

program ini, mahasiswa KKN_PPL bertanggungjawab atas pembuatan Es

Buah. Buka Puasa ini berjalan lancar serta diikuti oleh beberapa tamu

undangan dari Mahasiswa KKN-PPL se-kelurahan Botto.

4. Bimbingan Belajar Bahasa Inggris

Mahasiswa KKN-PPL Terpadu SMAN 1 Wartansoppeng khususnya

yang berasal dari jurusan bahasa Inggris memiliki program kerja Bimbingan

Belajar Bahasa Inggris. Hal ini juga berlaku pada mahasiwa lainnya dengan

membimbing siswa sesuai dengan jurusannya masing-masing. Program ini

dilaksanakan secara berksinambungan 1 kali per minggu yakni pada hari

Rabu. Bimbingan ini dapat diikuti oleh seluruh siswa tanpa terkecuali.




5. Berpastisipasi Extrakurikuler ECC

English Conversation Club (ECC) adalah extrakurikuler yang

berfokus pada pengembangan kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa terutama

Selasa pukul 14.00 WITA yang didampingi oleh Ibu Anida S.Pd.

Mahasiswa KKN-PPL Turut berpartisipasi aktif dalam setiap kegiatan ECC.

Mulai dari pengajaran di kelas hingga pengenalan materi debat pada siswa

kelas X.

6. Berpartisipasi pada Extrakurikuler KIR

Kelompok Ilmiaih Remaja (KIR) adalah Extrakurikuler yang

membahas seputar karya ilmiah seperti karya tulis dan penelitian. Siswa

dituntut mampu menyusun latar belakang dan mengkaji pustaka dan

manganalisis dan sintesis suatu masalah dan pemecahannya. Exkul ini

mengadakan pertemuan rutin setiap hari senin, namum mahasiswa KKN-

PPL mengganti untuk sementara pada hari Kamis pukul 14.00 WITA.

Bimbingan KIR ini berlangsung baik dengan dihasikannya 7 karya esai dan

dikirim pada event Esai Sosial Budaya yang diadakan oleh Kementrian

Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.

7. Tax Goes To School

Pengenalan pajak memang harus diperkenalkan sejak dini. Hal itulah

yang menjadi tujuan dari program Tax Go To School. Kagiatan inii

merupakan kerjasama antara mahasiswa KKN-PPL dengan pihak




perpajakan guna mengadakan sosialisasi dan pembawaan materi

mengenalani pajak kepada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Sekitar 200

siswa dari perwakilan tiap kelas mengikuti Seminar ini. Hal ini berlangsung

sangat meriah karena diselingi oleh yel-yel yang dipersiapkan oleh anak

SMA, ditambah lagi banyaknya doorprice yang diberikan dari pihak

perpajakan.

8. Pendamping Latihan Nasyid SMAN 1 Watangsoppeng.

SMAN 1 Watansoppeng diberi mandat oleh Dinas Pariwisata untuk

mengikuti perlobaan Nasyid yang diadakan departemen agama Sulawesi

selatan di Makassar. Lomba ini diadakan pada tanggal 4 september 2013

oleh karena itu persiapan dan latihan harus dilakukan sebelumnya.

Terkhusus kepada penulis, ibu Dra. Hj. Hutbaya menugaskan kepada

penulis untuk mendampingi siswa (Lutfi, Yudi, Khairil, dan Mario) setiap

latihan. Alhamdulillah memperolah hasil terbaik pada penampilan di

Makassar walaupun tidak juara.

9. Renovasi dan Kebersihan Lingkungan Sekolah

Melihat dari segi estetika sekolah, perlu dilakukan beberapa renovasi

dan pembaharuan guna menambah keindahan SMAN 1 Watansoppeng.

Pengecatan gerbang sekolah pada saat menbjelang 17 Agustus telah

dilakukan, pengecatan dan pembersihan taman, pemangkasan pohon pada

sisi lapangan basket, dan pembersihan galeri seni. Bukan hanya itu,




pembuatan tempat penampungan pupuk kandang juga telah buat guna

menampung seluruh pupuk kandang yang dikumpul siswa kelas X.

10. Mengikuit Musyawarah Besar Ambalat Pramuka

Musyawarah Besar Ambalat Pramuka SMAN 1 Watansoppeng telah

dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21-22 September 2013 di Lejja Kab. Soppeng.

Kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan terpilihnya ketua ambalat baru Pa/Pi.

Mahasiswa KKN-PPL turut berpartisis pasi dalam rangkaian acara tersebut

sebagai peserta peninjau.




BAB III PENUTUP

A. Simpulan

Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang telah penulis lakukan, maka dapat

disimpulkan bahwa:

1. Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) memberikan banyak faedah dan

pengalaman bagi calon guru untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah

diperoleh selama di bangku perkuliahan. Kami tidak lagi berkutat tentang

teori namun pengaplikasian teori. PPL ini sebagai modal berharga dalam

mengenal bahan ajar, medan ajar, peserta didik, dan lingkungan dalam dunia

pendidikan.

2. Guru adalah suatu profesi yang bukan hanya bermodal gelar S.Pd, namun

lebih dari itu, harus dipersiapkan banyak kompetensi sehingga dapat

menjadi model bagi peserta didik. Apapun yang dilakukan guru tentunya

diharapkan menjadi inspirasi dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar bagi

peserta didik yang bukan hanya pada lingkungan sekolah, tetapi pada setiap

kesempatan.

B. Saran

Dengan melihat program-program yang telah dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri

1 Watansoppeng, serta melihat situasi dan kondisi yang berkembang maka,

penulis menyarankan:




a. Dari Segi Peningkatan Prestasi Keterampilan Berbahasa khususnya Bahasa

Inggris, alangkah bagusnya jika program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yakni

English Conversation Club membuat program klinik bahasa, sehingga

mereka yang tergabung dalam ECC dapat menjadi stake holder untuk

mengembangkan keterampilah berbahasa utamanya dari segi writing skill.

Dalam klinik bahasa tersebut dapat dirancang beberapa siswa yang

ditugaskan sebagai konsultan masalah menulis dalam bahasa inggris, seperti

narrative, exposition, explanation, anekdot, procedure dan berbagai jenis

teks lainnya. Hal ini boleh diberikan kepada satu siswa yang khusus

menguasai narrative text baik dari segi teori maupun pembuatan karyanya.

Begitupun dengan sjenis text lainnya.

b. Dari segi Kepustakaan khususnya dalam meningkatkan educational

atmosphere, sebaikanya diadakan pekan baca bagi siswa atau paling tidak

diberi jadwal ke perpustakaan untuk membaca selain jam sekolah. Jadi

perpustakaan tidak hanya berfungsi pada jam sekolah namun lebih dari itu,

guna sebagai tempat menemukan cendikia muda. Diharapkan pula tercipta

kultur membaca pada siswa. Jika hal ini terkendala masalah pegawai, hal

tersebut bisa ditanggulangi dengan pembetukan “pustakawan putih abu-abu”

yakni kelompok siswa yang bertugas sebagai pustakawan dan belajar

bagaimana cara mengelola perpustkaan. Jadi siswa tersebut dapat menjaga

perpustakaan setelah pulang sekolah hingga pukul 15.30 WITA.




Apabila kita menghitung jumlah siswa yang rata-rata 30 orang/kelas yang

terdiri dari 10 kelas X, 9 kelas IPA, 8 Kelas IPS dan 2 kelas Bahasa. Hal ini

tentunnya tidak bisa memuat paling tidak 20 % jumlah siswa dalam perhari

ke perpustakaan dalam waktu istirahat 30 menit. Oleh karena itu sangat

diperlukan pembentuka “pustakawan Puith Abu-Abu” yang dapat mengelola

perpustakaan di luar jam sekolah.

c. Dari segi prestasi karya tulis ilmiah, sebaiknya setiap guru membimbing

paling tidak 1 orang siswa guna menciptakan karya tulis ilmiah sesuai

dengan minat dan mata pelajaran yang guru miliki. Hal tersebut tentunya

sangat bermanfaat sebagai pengembangan dan inovasi bagi dunia

pendidikan khususnya dalam hal scientific writing. Jika kita berkibalat pada

pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan di kalangan Sekolah Menengah Atas, hal

itu masih sangat kurang karena hanya sedikit SMA yang membimbing siswa

secara khusus untuk menulis terbimbing yakni membuat karya tulis /

penelitian pustaka mengenai bidang studi yang diminati.

Narrative text

An Honest Woodsman and His Axe

There was once an honest Woodsman who lived with his family in a

forest. He worked hard, cutting down trees so he could sell the firewood. This is

how he supported his family. All day long you could hear the sound of his faithful

axe ringing through the woods.

One day he was cutting down trees near the edge of a deep pool of water

in the forest. With strong, steady strokes he chopped away until it grew quite late

in the day. The Woodsman was tired, for he had been working since early

morning, and his strokes were not as strong and steady as they had been. He

raised his tired arms high for a final blow and his axe slipped, flew out of his

hands and landed with a ‘plonk’ into the pool, sinking to the bottom.

The Woodsman cried out, “No! All is lost!” As he stood, wringing his

hands, pulling his hair and weeping, the god Mercury suddenly appeared.

“What is wrong Woodsman?” asked the god. The Woodsman wept, “My axe fell

into the water! It is too deep and I cannot get it back! My axe is all I have to make

a living with, and I don’t have enough money to buy a new one. My family will

have nothing to eat.” Hearing this, Mercury dove with a splash down to the

bottom of the pool. When he surfaced he held in his hand an axe that glinted in the

setting sun, for this axe was made of pure gold! Mercury held up the golden axe

and asked, “Is this your axe, Woodsman?”

The Woodman’s mouth fell open and his eyes grew large with desire as he

looked at the golden axe, but he shook his head. “No. That is not my axe.”

Mercury dove again with a splash down to the bottom of the pool. This time when

he surfaced he held in his hand an axe that sparkled like the silvery drops of water

falling from it, for it was made of pure silver! “Is this your axe, Woodsman?”

asked Mercury. The honest Woodsman gazed with amazement at the beautiful

silver axe, but again shook his head and said, “No. That is not my axe. My axe is

just an ordinary old axe with a plain wooden handle.” Mercury dove down for the

third time with a splash, and when he surfaced he held in his hand the Woodman’s

battered old axe. “Is this your axe, Woodsman?” he asked.

The Woodsman was so glad his axe had been found! He cried out, “That’s

my axe!” He eagerly took the axe and thanked the kind god again and again.

Mercury looked at the Woodman and smiled. “I admire your honesty, Woodsman.

And it shall be rewarded. You may keep all three axes, the gold and the silver as

well as your own.” And then Mercury disappeared as suddenly as he had come.

The Woodsman gathered the three axes in his arms and hurried home where he

was met by his wife. She was so happy when she saw the gold and silver axes, she

cried out, “Husband! We’ll never be hungry again!”

Explanation text

Tsunami

The term of “tsunami” comes from the Japanese which means harbour

("tsu") and wave ("nami"). A tsunami is a series of waves generated when water

in a lake or a sea is rapidly displaced on a massive scale.

A tsunami can be generated when the sea floor abruptly deforms and

vertically displaces the overlying water. Such large vertical movements of the

earth's crust can occur at plate boundaries.

Subduction of earthquakes are particularly effective in generating tsunami,

and occur where denser oceanic plates slip under continental plates.

As the displaced water mass moves under the influence of gravity to

regain its equilibrium, it radiates across the ocean like ripples on a pond.

Tsunami always bring great damage. Most of the damage is caused by the

huge mass of water behind the initial wave front, as the height of the sea keeps

rising fast and floods powerfully into the coastal area.

my assignment. Fandy : is your book has a blue cover?Ani : yes, that’s mine. That is my English assignment book.Fandy : oh my god. I’m sorry. I found your book in the floor but I don’t know who does belong

because there no identity in that book. No name, no registration number. I admit that ismy fault because I didn’t find the owner soon.

Ani : It doesn’t matter. The one who should blame is me. I am careless because I don’t write any identity on my book.
