8.10. AKTA ARKITEK 1967 [AKTA 117]

a. Kuasa melantik ahli Lembaga

3(2) The board shall consist of the following members who shallbe Malaysian citizens and who appointed by the Minister:

(a) a President who shall be appointed from amongProfessional Architects;

(b) five Professional Architects who are in the public serviceof the Federation, States, local aithority or statutoryauthority;

(c) (Deleted)(d) eight Professional Architects who have been in private

practice for at least five years in Malaysia, three of whomshall be from the nomination list submitted by theCouncil of the Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia,

(e) one member on the nomination of the Board ofEngineers from among members of that Boardestabilished under the Registration of Engineers Act1967;

(f) one member on the nomination of the Board of QuantitySurveyors from among members of that Boardestablished under the Quantity Surveyors Act 1967;

(g) one member appointed from among BuildingDraughtsman; and

(h) one member appointed from among Interior Designerswho has been in private practise for at least five yearsin Malaysia.

10A(4) Any foreign architects dissatisfied with the decision of the Board to reject his applicationfor temporary registration or the renewal thereof under this section may, withintwenty-one days of being notified of the rejection, appeal to the Minister whosedecision thereon shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal.

f. Pembatalan pendaftaran Building Draughtsman

25(6) Any Building Draughtsman dissatisfied with an order of the Disciplinary Committeeunder this section may within twenty-one days of being notified of such order appealto the Minister whose decision thereon shall be final.
