ABSTRACT (BAEIASA MALAYSIA)

Projek ini bertujuan untuk membangunkan satu sistem sokongan pemutusan(DSS) perancangan kewangan kos rendah dan berorientasikan pengguna akhiruntuk perusahaan kecil dan sederhana di Malaysia. Sistem sokongan pemutusan(DSS) kos rendah dan ramah pengguna adalah penting untuk membantupembuat-pembuat keputusan bagi perusahaan kecil dan sederhana, dalammelaksanakan perancangan kewangan masa depan memandangkan sistemsokongan pemutusan sedia ada adalah mahal dan tidak serasi untuk kegunaanperusahaan kecil dan sederhana di Malaysia. Integrasi Microsoft Excel 2000dan Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 telah digunakan untuk membangunkan sistemini. Model-model kewangan sistem ini telah dibentuk dengan menggunakanMicrosoft Excel 2000. Antaramuka-antaramuka sistem ini pula telahdibangunkan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. Sistem ini telahdiuj i dalam persekitaran akademik (Universiti Utara Malaysia). Bagimeningkatkan keupayaan fungsi dan ciri-ciri sistem ini, pelbagai usaha sepertimenyempumakan sistem ini kepada satu sistem yang lengkap danmemperkembangkan sistem ini kepada satu sistem sokongan pemutusan secarakumpulan (GDSS) dapat dilakukan pada masa depan.

ABSTRACT (ENGLISH)

This project is aimed at developing a low cost and end user oriented fmancialplanning decision support system (DSS) for small medium enterprise (SME) inMalaysia. Low cost and user friendly DSS is essential to assist the SMEdecision makers in their future financial planning as the available financialplanning software are too expensive and not compatible for the SME inMalaysia. An integration of Microsoft Excel 2000 and Microsoft Visual Basic6.0 had been used to develop this system. The fmancial models had beendeveloped using Microsoft Excel 2000 (spreadsheet based) and the userinterfaces had been developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. Upon thesystem prototyping process, the system had been tested in an academicenvironment (Universiti Utara Malaysia). Further works such as extending thesystem to a full functional system and a group decision support system (GDSS)could be done to improve the functionality and feature of the system.
