ABSTRACT

Development of Automatic Shoe Polisher

The aim of this project is to create an instant and spit shine shoe polishing

machine for MJSC Parit’s community as our college have problem with punctuality

especially the student. In this project, the automatic shoe polisher was built using a

motor,buffing kit,gears,belting kit and a rheostat. The result that we obtain after a few

times testing using the developed shoe polish it has an RPM(Rotation per minute) of 

about 6000rpm.The shoe polish can polish a shoe of about 2 minute without any black

dust sticking on your finger and without the chemical damaging the human body.

CHAPTER 1

OBJECTIVE

The two basic types of shoe polish -- sole cleaner and overall buff -- each use a rapidly turning

motor controlled by a rheostat that spins about 6000rpm in full throttle with a buff connected

with a connecting belt to a gear,the gear is fixed to a buffer that run by the motor.

The basic components:

•A buffer 

•A motor that can run at a high speed 

•Belt 

•Gear 

•Storage box

•Rheostat 

The method for creating a good buff is by manipulating the buffer,the motor speed, and

the wax used is what differentiates the shoes shinness. When the motor is connected to

the power supply,then the current flow is controlled by a rheostat,When the motor

turns,the belt turn the gear that spin the buffer.When the buffer turns, the shoe is

manipulated around the buffer and is pressed a little bit.
