The first consideration when designing spaces for children

should be safety. Secondly emphasizes the children's scale

Finally, furniture and facilities should choose to complywith safety standards, use toxic, blunt and soft material.

The spatial characteristics of the Mosque of Prophetin Medinawhich reveals a prayer hall in a hypostylemodel, one concludes that this scheme provides asuitable ambience for praying, through the sense of

neutrality, non-procession, repose, and equilibrium itreveals, allowing every point in the space to be acenter of equal significance.

Universal design comes in how accessible the mosqueis as a synergic space Multiuse of space We must approach the mosque not as a building for a

single set of ritual worship but more of a kind of socialcenter.

    CONCLUSION

  • 8/14/2019 REPORT MASJID SRI GOMBAK.pptx

    29/30

In conclusion, the design of Masjid Khairiyah doesconsider the disable person in certain areas, but most of

the provision do not meet the standard requiredaccording to Malaysian Standard

Some of the area does not consider the disable person atall

However there are still rooms for improvement andmeasures can be taken to ensure the accessibility for the

    disable people

Finally, this case study should be a good lesson to learnfor every architects and future designers.
