CELCOM BIZ & VODAFONE TEE OFF WITH GLOBAL ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 OCTOBER 2010 - Celcom Axiata Berhad [formerly known as Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad] together with Vodafone Global Enterprise (Vodafone) heated up the greens at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club recently. Gearing up for this exclusive event, Vodafone was invited to be both a sponsor and also a participant, to jointly foster closer relationships between Celcom Biz plus Vodafone’s top management, with selected key global customers.

“It is our intention to keep on creating many unique engagements which our customers will appreciate and be reminded of us and the Celcom Biz brand, which we represent. Besides the intention of thanking our customers for their support of our business, these types of activities also give us the opportunity to get to know our customers as well as our strategic partners, like Vodafone, better.” said Celcom Axiata Berhad’s Chief Corporate Officer, Mohamed Adlan Ahmad Tajudin.

The invitational comprised of 10 flights of players representing various industries such as, Alcatel Lucent (M) Sdn. Bhd., Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad, IBM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Coca-Cola Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Hewlett Packard Malaysia Technology Sdn. Bhd., CSC Malaysia, HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad, Nestle Malaysia Berhad, Oracle Corporation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Panasonic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Prudential BSN Takaful, Western Digital, to name a few.

The players teed off at 8am and ended their game, four hours later with a luncheon, followed by a prize giving ceremony. The champion player of the day was Mr. Rama Nathan, Managing Director of IBM Malaysia Sdn Bhd who walked away with a Trophy, some golf related prizes, an Acer netbook, as well as a BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone. The second and third prize winners were, Mr. Azman Harith from Prudential BSN Takaful and Dato’ Raymond Yeong of CSC Malaysia, who also received similar prizes, respectively.
