Principal’s Message Dear parents, We hope that you are pleased with the centre events that were planned out and that you are well updated about your child’s progress throughout the terms.
We will be sharing more of your child’s magical learning journey in term 3. We had a busy schedule for the children in this term as they participated in the various events and fieldtrips. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for contributing and attending our Surprise Teacher’s Day Event on 29 August 2017 and making the event a success. All the teachers enjoyed the surprise and were touched to know that parents were involved in the preparation such as making the butterfly cards and also helping in setting up the MPH. Thank you again and enjoy reading the Term 3 issue!
Regards, Mdm Amaninah Md Khader

Little Sunshine In Term 3, our little sunshine were exposed to the theme ‘Things that go’. They were
introduced to the different types of transportation. Teachers conducted age-appropriate
activities which focused on the four learning domains; physical, intellectual, emotional and
social development.
Infants were given
opportunities in developing
their fine motor skills and
eye-hand coordination. They
were each been given
coloured soft toy to match it
with the coloured train.
They also experimented
with different coloured
dough to mould with the
transportation moulders.
“Come on, let’s go for a ride!”
“Let’s move like a car”
“Let’s go into the tunnel”
Infants were engaged in gross motor skill activities. We used recycled materials to create a
car, to let them sit on, experience and pretend as though they were driving the car. Infants
used push carts to move around the room pretending to be on a motorbike and going
through tunnel like the lorries driving through the highway tunnels.

Itty Bitties Toddler... Toddlers had ample opportunities to explore and learn about the targeted theme. They
were exposed to various activities throughout the term. This helps in building the children’s
confidence and self-esteem. The toddlers were active and curious learners as they explored
the materials used and creating artworks using their own creativity that were within their
capabilities.
Let’s Move… Toddlers had the opportunity to play and explore the different transportation
activities. They were immersed in so much fun and excitement. Anything that moves
or with wheels, is sure to grab their attention.
All about crafts… Children had fun doing different art activities relating to Community Helpers such as
making first aid collage, painting using the cotton balls, making fire fighter cap and junk
box car. Children were engaged in coloring, painting and scribbling, which help in the

“Salam Lebaran” On 30 June, led by the OIC, Teacher Ailin and Teacher Chonyll, both our infant and childcare bays held
the annual Hari Raya celebration. We are delighted that our parents made time to join us in the much
anticipated event. It was filled with lots of fun games and exciting line-up by our very own children. The
event finale was definitely the hit - a ‘Dikir Barat’ performance by our children, teachers and parents!
Games galore! Our parents and children engaged in the fun activities.

On 22 July, KMBR implemented a new initiative by having parental involvement for the children’s
learning journey to Sengkang Fire Station. It was part of our Term 3’s broad theme on “My Country”.
Children, parents and teachers, turned up as early as 9am to explore the interior of the fire station and
had their first-hand experience on the tools, equipment and the emergency vehicles used by the
paramedics and fire fighters. Thank you parents for being so supportive in this learning journey together
with us and not forgetting the teachers-in-charge, Teacher Ailin and Teacher Fatin, for organizing the
learning journey!

as part of the Reading Movement Programme. In this movement,
for every 1 book read, 1 book will be donated to children
beneficiaries. They read various books that they have chosen prior
