Nishat Mills Limited: While acting as Deputy Manager Accounts and Finance at Nishat Mills Limited, I was responsible for the performance of following duties:
a) Preparation and analysis of monthly accounts for the review of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer, which includes following activities
- Trend analysis and identification of reason for variance of Profit & Loss line items;
- Reconciliation between the current and last month’s accounting profits / losses; and - Reconciliation between contribution margin and accounting profits / losses.
b) Transaction level review of transactions booked by the subordinates for ensuring accuracy, c) Preparation of BOD working papers for discussion in the BOD meeting,
d) Quarterly reconciliation of Management Accounts Results with Results as per Statutory Financial Statements, e) Acting as Audit Coordinator for timely completion of External Audit, and
f) Ensuring Tax Compliance for withholding tax and deposit of tax to Government Treasury within the prescribed
time limit.

- Financial Statements Analysis and Interpretation: Training at A. F. Ferguson & Co. has honed my analysis and
interpretation skills required to assess the position and performance of an enterprise and interpret financial statements for the purposes of reporting to stakeholders, lenders and government agencies.
