1. Diagram 1.1 shows the set-up of apparatus for an experiment to compare the reactivity
of alkali metals towards their reaction with oxygen.
Rajah 1.1 menunjukkan susunan radas bagi eksperimen untuk membandingkan
kereaktifan logam alkali apabila bertindak balas dengan oxygen.

The experiment is carried out using a small piece of lithium, potassium and sodium to
react with oxygen gas respectively.
Observations on the alkali metals in the experiment are shown in Table 1.1.

2. Diagram 2.1 shows the apparatus set-up for the experiment to determine the melting
point of naphtalene. Solid naphtalene is heated in a water bath slowly until the
temperature reach 90 ºC .
