Save our environment !Environment is our surrounding which includes everything from a non-living to a living being. But now, environmental pollution is the biggest menace to the human race on this planet today. It means adding impurity to environment. The environment consists of earth, water, air, plants and animals. If we pollute them, then the existence of man and nature will be hampered. For the last one hundred or so years, the people of earth have wasted and misused the natural recourses of earth. Several plans have been developed to stop the abuse of earth. We the new generation owe the basic responsibility of protecting our green world.When it is about going save our environment, flora and fauna is of great significance. Saving the environment becomes next to impossible if we go about cutting trees. Already, numerous forests and sanctuaries have been cleared to make way for malls, residential properties and other commercial ventures. It is time that we stop cutting down forests. The school and public libraries are great examples of the reuse of materials. Books can be barrowed, read and returned instead of every one who wants to read a certain book going and purchasing a copy. The reuse of these books saves thousands of trees that would be used to make copies of books.We must to stop cutting tree to keep our planet green and we must always remember to plant trees.Along with bringing an end to cutting down the trees, afforestation also needs to be taken on a large scale. More and more lands need to be provided for subject cover. Healthy environment balance cannot be achieved without sufficient forest cover. While growing forest is at the hands of the government, individuals can at least make effort to have more plants in the house or plant a sapling wherever possible. Problems like oil spills, hazardous waste, loss of rain forests, endangered species, acid rain, the ozone layer, the municipal waste crisis can feel out of our control. At the very least, these problems require group and corporate action or government intervention.'Recycle' is the key mantra to go green and save the environment. All of us have got into the habit of dumping things and creating truck loads of waste. The result obviously is damage to the environment. Try to use recycled metal, paper, glass and the like. Recycling can also help find a feasible solution to the problem of dealing with non biodegradable waste like plastics. Some recyclable items include glass, paper, and most types of mettle and also make sure that glass, paper and mettle are all separated into different bins. Once these bins are full of recyclable materials they can be given to your local recycle center.Conservation of energy resources is also a must to save the environment. Our current energy resources such as water, diesel, petrol, electricity etc are already on the verge of depletion. It is important that we learn to use these energy resources judiciously else the future generations will have nothing to derive energy from. Solar panels are a series of mirrors that transform sunlight into solar energy and a good example of energy resources that can save our environment. Solar energy can help heat water and power home appliances. Solar energy is a great source of clean, non-polluting energy.There are so many simple things that all of us can do everyday to save our environment. Example, try to switch the lights off whenever possible to save on electricity. With these simple things alone, we can make a great deal of difference to the environment. It is the responsibility of every person in checking the causes that affect the environmental disaster and play a positive role in improving it and these things have also got to be mentioned. As the proverb says We wont have a society if we destroy the environment we must understand the importance of protecting our environment as it is for our own good to keep our planet clean and green.
