Our thoughts go farther in personal mobility…But we understand the following:

• 83% of personal travel is by automobile in the US• 4.8 tn kms a year; on 6.5 mn kms of roads; Consuming 180 billion gallons of fuel per annum from 170,000 service stations • The emerging markets are not far behind….China will

overtake US by 2030 and India….maybe the neck to neck with China by 2050

Our thoughts go farther in personal mobility…But we understand the following:

• Worldwide we consume about 18 mn barrels of oil every day; emitting 2.7 bn tonnes of Co2

• Roadway collisions claim 1.2mn lives every year• and in dense city centres the urban average speed

falls well under 20 kms per hour

But….the discovery of crude oil in Oklahoma &

Texas saw gasoline emerge as preferred fuel
