The Association of Chartered CertiedAccountants (ACCA) sets an internationalstandard of excellence in accounting andnance. It awards qualications that arerecognised worldwide by employers acrossbanking, management and consulting.

Being ACCA accredited opens doors for yourcareer progression and earning potential. It

also allows you to become a Registered Auditorand join the ACCA members club – giving youaccess to a range of advanced professionaldevelopment resources.

Registration with ACCA

You should register for exams in your chosensubjects with ACCA before starting yourcourse. You must also make sure you meet allACCA entry requirements – including two

A Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in veseparate subjects.

Your entry route will also depend on yourage and academic qualications. For instance,degree holders from ACCA-accreditedinstitutions may be exempt from upto 9 exams.

Exams

To qualify for ACCA certication and membership, you will need to pass 14papers. You must proceed through the 4 levels in order, but papers withineach level may be taken in any order.

You will be able to register for examinations (either computer or paperbased) at ACCA’s worldwide centres twice a year. You may sit a maximum

of 4 papers at once.

It will take a minimum of 2 years, and up to 10 years, to complete all your examinations and gain ACCA membership. The pass mark for allexaminations is 50%.
