    Answerall question.

    1. A student carry out an experiment to investigate the relationship between theincrease of temperature, T and the mass of water, m. 0.2 kg of water is poured into

    the beaker and the initial temperature,0 is recorded. The immersion heater wasswitched on for a fixed period of time. The rise in temperature, 1 is then therecorded.

    The experiment is repeated by using 0.4 kg, 0.6 kg, 0.8 kg and 1.0 kg of water. Thereading of thermometer at room temperature, 0 is shown in diagram 1.2. The actualcorresponding reading of temperature, 1 are shown in Diagram 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6and 1.7 on page 3 and page 4.

    2 A student carried out an experiment to study the relationship between theperiod of oscillation, T and mass, m for a loaded spring of oscillation. Theresults of the experiment is shown in the graph of T 2 against m as in Diagram2.1.

    3. The diagram 3.1 and 3.2 show a diver swimming in the sea and in fresh water. Thediver experiences more discomfort to his body and ear in Diagram 3.2.

    Based on the information and observation above:

    (a) State one suitable inference.[1 mark]

    (b) State one suitable hypothesis.[1 mark]

    (c) With the use of apparatus such as thistle funnel, manometer and otherapparatus, describe an experiment framework to investigate the hypothesisstated in 3(b).In your description, state clearly the following;(i) Aim of the experiment.(ii) Variables in the experiment.(iii) List of apparatus and materials.(iv) Arrangement of the apparatus.

    (v) The procedure of the experiment which include the method ofcontrolling the manipulated variable and the method of measuring theresponding variable.

    4. The diagram 4.1 and 4.2 show two circuits with identical bulbs and dry cells. Thewire connected to bulb in Diagram 4.1 is thicker than the wire connected to bulb inDiagram 4.2. Both the wires are of the same length. The bulb in Diagram 4.1 lightsup brighter than the bulb in Diagram 4.2.

    Based on the information and observation above:
