Ischaemia: case reportA 47-year-old man developed ischaemia of the skin during
treatment with terlipressin for bleeding oesophageal varices.He had actively bleeding oesophageal varices and was startedon terlipressin 1mg by injection six times a day. On the thirdday of his treatment, he developed bilateral erythematous,non-blanching lesions of his extremities, ecchymosis withareas of necrosis on the overlying skin and cold extremities.Terlipressin was discontinued and his lesions regressed. Hecompletely recovered in 2 weeks.
