PANDUAN MENYEMAK H-INDEX BAGI AHLI AKADEMIK DI DALAM SCOPUS HOW TO CALCULATE H-INDEX IN SCOPUS

1. Akses Portal e-Jurnal (untuk akses daripada dalam dan luar Kampus UKM) atau Pangkalan Data

/ jurnal-e (untuk akses di dalam Kampus UKM sahaja) Login via e-Journal Portal (for internal and off campus access) or Library Online Databases http://www.ukm.my/library (for internal access only)

2. Klik Pangkalan Data SCOPUS/ Click on SCOPUS database

3. Klik Author Search dan taipkan nama singkatan ahli akademik Click Author Search and Key in author's initial entry Contoh/ Example: Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Sobri Takriff, (Takriff, M.S.)

4. Tandakan pada Results yang dipaparkan dan klik Show Documents Mark on Results and click Show Documents

5. Semak senarai yang dipaparkan, pilih All atau tanda pada penerbitan yang diperlukan sahaja dan klik View Citation Overview Check 51 results displayed, select All or check the necessary publications and click on View Citation Overview

6. Citation Overview dipaparkan. Jumlah Rekod = 51 H-Index =9 Petikan = 177 Penggiraan bagi H-Index= 9, menunjukkan daripada 51 penerbitan yang diindeks di dalam SCOPUS bagi seseorang pengarang, 9 penerbitannya telah dipetik (cited) sekurang-kurangnya 9 kali. Nilai H-Index dalam SCOPUS diambil kira bagi penerbitan yang diterbitkan selepas tahun 1995 Calculation of the H-Index = 9, shows the 51 publications indexed in Scopus for any author, nine publications have been cited at least nine times. The value of H-Index in Scopus taken for publication that published after 1995

7. Klik pada Sort Documents dan pilih citation descending untuk melihat rekod dengan jumlah petikan tertinggi. Klik Update Overview Click on Sort Documents and select citation descending to view the records with the highest number of citations. Click Update Overview

8. Hasil paparan bagi rekod dengan jumlah petikan tertinggi A preview of the record with the highest number of citations

9. Bagi menyemak H-index tanpa self-cited, tandakan Self citations of all authors dan klik Update overview To check the H-index without self-cited, mark Self citations of all authors and click Update overview

10. H-Index tanpa self-cited dipaparkan/ H-Index is shown without the self-cited
