PENDAHULUAN

Miksoma

Tumor jinak jaringan ikat yang bersifat

invasif pada struktur sekitar dan dapat

tumbuh ke dalam jaringan lunak dan

tulang.

WHOTumor jinak berasal dari jaringan

mesenkim primitif (ektomesenkial)dengan atau tanpa epitel odontogenik

Thoma & Goldman (1947) : miksoma odontogenikpd rahang

Stout (1948) : kriteria PA miksoma sbg neoplasia yg tidak

metastasis & tidk mengandung komponen selular

jar mesenkim lain

Willis (1948) : miksoma mrp derivat dari perubahandegeneratif pd fibroblas

Glazunov & Pukhov (1960) : virus nukleus sel &cytoplasmic inclusion bodies pd miksoma intramuskular

Miksoma berasal dari sel mesenkim embrionik primitif /

fibroblas dg cenderung produksi mukopolisakarida >>>

Virchow (1863) : PA mirip tali pusat

- < 0,5% dari seluruh tumor sinonasal

- 3-20 % dari semua tumor odontogenik

- Tumor ke-3 terbanyak setelah odontoma &

ameloblastoma
