BHD. PERMIT OVER FATAL ACCIDENT IN JEMPOL, NEGERI SEMBILAN KUALA LUMPUR, 13 JUNE 2017 - The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) has suspended with immediate effect on 12 June 2017 to the Operator License of Golden Horse Plantations Sdn. Bhd. and all vehicles under the operator following an incident that resulted in the death of eight people at kilometer 25 Jalan Bahau, Negeri Sembilan to Keratong, Pahang on June 11, 2017. All of the vehicle permits under the operator has been suspended to enable a compliance audit investigation to be carried out under the Industrial Code of Practice - Safety (SPAD ICOP). The Commission will also assist in the PDRM investigation in relation to the case when required. Safety of road users and the operation of public goods vehicles on the roads is a priority for SPAD. Under the Operator Licence terms and conditions, all land public goods transport operators must uphold the highest standards in the operation of their vehicles. SPAD will not tolerate any violations of safety practices and sternly warns operators that if they fail to comply with safety requirements, they will be penalised under the provisions of the law and regulations. The Commission will not hesitate to revoke operator licenses and permits, as well as taking administrative and court action if they are found to have violated mandatory safety requirements under the Operator Licence terms and conditions.
