Introduction

Hong Kong is one of the top ten markets for exports of U.S. agricultural products, totaling over US$4 billion annually.

The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Hong Kong works closely with industry stakeholders to increase the sales of U.S. food and agricultural products in Hong Kong and Macau.

The ATO complements market development activities by facilitating communication between U.S. suppliers and local industry. An important role of the ATO in Hong Kong and Macau is providing resources and support to promote established or new-to-market products from the United States.

The ATO provides a range of services free of charge to support trade in U.S. food products.

In-store Promotions work with retailers to promote U.S. food and beverages at the retail level.

Buyer Missions coordinate and support buyers’ trips to the United States to visit select trade shows, meet with appropriate suppliers, and visit U.S. food retail outlets.

ATO Hong Kong is one of the overseas offices of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. A primary role of FAS is to promote the export of U.S. agricultural products into foreign markets.
