Cleaving the fiber Proses cleave ini merupakan proses untuk membuang

buffer dan dan memotong core sebaik-baiknya pada sudut 90% . Ini kerana pemotongan core mempengaruhi proses splicing. Fiber cleaver menggunakan kaedah “score-and-break” supaya core dipotong dengan tepat dan selari/serenjang.

Splicing the fibers Proses splicing perlu menggunakan mesin khas. Ketika

proses penggabungan (fusion)ini dilaksanakan, mesin akan mengambil kira ketepatan sudut paksi x,y dan z pada core dan cladding fiber secara automatik dan menyambungkan semula kedua-dua belah kabel fiber. Selepas itu, proses recoating/heating akan dilakukan untuk memastikan kabel fiber yang disambung tadi ditutup semula (menggantikan jaket asal) supaya kabel tidak putus.
