GEND
0830 – 0900 Registration
0900 – 0915 Welcome
0915 – 0935 Gas Monetization, Addressing the Financial Risks of Metering
The design and operation of Fiscal and Sales Allocation Metering systems is ofcrucial importance to gas trading parties as it is all about metering the money flow.Systematic errors in metering systems can represent a large financial loss to one ofthe trading parties. Accurate measurements of the traded volumes and theaccompanying gas quality are critical for correct billing, especially in the LNGtrade. Therefore, DNV GL has set up a best industry recommended practice for
design and operation of such systems. This method covers both technical andorganizational aspects from ISO 10012 (Management of Metering). Thispresentation will provide an introduction to mitigation of risks on these aspects, highlighting the financial importance of correct measurements and calibration.
Lennart van Luijk Senior Specialist, Flow Metering & Data AnalysisDNV GL
0935 - 1005 Downstream Gas Transmission & Distribution Practices
Key features of Gas Transmission and Distribution projects include the correct
design of the gas piped network to ensure security of supply, reliability and capacityto match predicted gas demand profiles through master planning and networkdesign incorporating ‘Synergi gas’ software.
The presentation also briefly covers asset management systems and their value forgas operating companies along with pipeline integrity issues and some innovativerepair solutions.

1035 - 1055 Operational Excellence – Helping our Clients to Optimize their assets
Operations Excellence in the Oil & Gas industry is a journey towards achievingworld class operational performance that can minimize costs while safeguarding lifeproperty and the environment.
Many operators already adopt forms of operational excellence and thus DNV-GL isnot proposing new systems for this but is combining its expertise and knowledge toidentify the most appropriate ways for individual operators to achieve their ambition.
The key components of this that will be discussed are i) maintenance excellence ii)asset technical integrity and optimization iii) operating integrity and management
