Ketua Pengarah Kastam Malaysia memutuskan barangan tersebut sesuai diperjeniskan di bawah kod tarif 8421.99 900 sebagai parts of filtering machines berdasarkan alasan-alasan berikut:

Barangan yang dikenali sebagai shale shaker screen diperbuat daripada metal merupakan salah satu komponen/part yang terdapat dalam shale shaker machine. Barangan ini dipasangkan di mesin “shale shaker” dimana tujuan utama ialah untuk menapis “lumpur”(serpihan/batu/pasir/benda asing) yang dibawa bersama dengan bahan kimia/cecair dalam proses mengerudi samada di lautan ataupun daratan.

Shale shaker machine merupakan machine yang digunakan dalam industri petroleum mendapat liputan penjenisan dalam EN HS 2012 di bawah heading 84.21. Barangan ini iaitu shale shaker screen yang dibuat mengikut piawaian yang telah ditetapkan oleh America Petroleum Institute (API) adalah merupakan part of Shale shaker machine. Sehubungan itu, barangan diperjeniskan di bawah heading 84.21 berdasarkan keterangan dalam EN HS 2012 muka surat XVI-8421-1 & XVI-8421-2 seperti berikut:
