INTRODUCTION

We are pleased to introduce ourselves as an independent stockist and distributor of engine parts and technical equipment, work-ing together with genuine makers, and/or licensees makers, and/or approved original subcontractors (OEM-suppliers). We supply technical equipment and spare parts to ship owners, power stations and traders world-wide. The major parts are approved by BV and if required a (EU) European certi"cate can be supplied as well. All parts supplied have one year warranty.

IMSE, founded in 1986 in Antwerp, Belgium, specializes in 4-stroke diesel engine spares, both new and reconditioned parts suitable for ABC, CMI Cockerill, Deutz, Pielstick and many other brands.

IMSE has its own brands with PT Pistons and VT Valves, a UK-based OEM-valve spindle manufacturer.

With o!ces in Antwerp, Kuala Lumpur, Nan-jing, Jakarta and Singapore we are here, where and when you need us.

IMSE is an independent sales channel for Alfa Laval and Westfalia equipment for Marine & Diesel applications and also supplies equip-ment and spare parts suitable for compres-sors (Atlas Copco, Hamworthy, etc.), pumps (Allweiler, IMO, Taiko Kikai, etc.), electric motors (ABB, Hoyer, etc.) and other technical equipment.

INTRODUCTION

With PT Pistons being produced with the latest casting and technology, IMSE supplies high qual-ity diesel engine pistons for a wide range of indus-trial, locomotives and marine applications.

With a machining workshop of 3,500m! and a plant area covering 20,000m!, approximately 12,000 pistons are produced yearly. At present, the plant has the capacity to produce 20,000 pistons annually. We o"er pistons ranging from 160mm to 500mm in size.

We manufacture single-part pistons (aluminium casting with ring carrier), one-piece monobloc thin-wall cast iron pistons & composite pistons (forged steel crown with forged aluminium skirt/cast iron skirt).

To meet our key objectives of product quality, our testing and quality control is precise and innova-tive. Ultra-sonic, dye-penetrant and x-ray testing consistently ensure that PT pistons are crack-free and according to the industrial standards.

CMI (Cockerill Mechanical Industries) is an engine builder with head o!ces in Belgium, which stopped production of their TR240 engines for more than 10 years.

With only a limited number of these engines were built, and no new engines were being produced, this often results in very high prices and long delivery times o"ered by the original maker.

IMSE was asked by several clients if we could o"er a solution for this problem. Therefore we decided to stock key components and consumables suitable for the TR240 engine type in our warehouse in Antwerp.
