Components of APM

Fixed by the Government.

Cost associated directly with mogas, diesel and LPG incurred in head office and depots. Exclude costs for advertising, sales promotion, bad debt provision and public relations.

Cost associated with ship / road tanker transport.

Relates to commission given to APM products dealers, e.g. petrol station operators or commission to dealers to distribute LPG to various locations.To ensure sufficient return for the operator/ dealer of the service station.

Relates to oil co’s income in undertaking the buying and selling of APM products to the retail sector.To ensure sufficient returns to motivate long term orderly investment.
