Cendol is a cold dessert that is popular in Malaysia Made in a variety of ways, cendol almost always consists of green, chewy, jelly-like noodles mixed with coconut cream, palm syrup and pieces of ice. The name "cendol" might come from the Indonesian word jendol, meaning "bump" or "bulge.“

CENDOL

Ais Kacang means “Ice beans” also commonly known as ABC. An ice shaving machine is used to churn out the shaved ice. It is also topped with basil seeds, peanuts, corn and a scoop of ice cream.

It cost about RM 3.50 - RM 5.50 per bowl. Often, it’s served in restaurants or sold as a street

food in vendor booths.

Tou Foo Fa or Douhua (in Mandarin), is a soft and tofu dessert. Tou Foo Fa is made by coagulating soy milk into curds. Tou Foo Fa is usually served warm in sweet syrup but many people also like it chilled.

It cost about RM 2.50 - RM 3.00 per bowl. Often, it’s served in coffee shops or sold as a

street food in vendor booths.

TAU FOO FAH

It is also known as Tangyuan in mandarin. Made from glutinous rice flour mixed with a small amount if water to from balls and is then cooked and served in boiling water. Traditionally eaten during the Lantern Festivals or the Chinese Christmas which is on the 22nd of December every year.

It cost about RM 4.00 - RM 5.00 per bowl. Often, it’s served in restaurants.

GLUTINOUS RICE BALLS

Sago pudding is one of the popular dessert among the Peranakan (Chinese-Malay origin). Gula Melaka is originated from a state in Malaysia, the Melaka State (Malacca). Melaka is one of the historical towns in Malaysia besides Penang. Sago Gula Melaka (Sago Pudding with Palm Sugar) is a typical Malaysian dessert.
