ISU KEPRIHATINAN KAJIAN My main concern is to make a new learning opportunity
interactive and exciting for the students. I am hoping to
accomplish a successful Eastern Canadian history unit,
integrated with music. (Burkom, K. 1998)
How can I change the classroom from one with teacher-centred
learning to a classroom with more group and cooperative
learning experiences? This was a question that concerned me
during my grade seven and eight practicum placement. (Conod,
J., 1998)
One of my central concerns as a teacher candidate is developing
the self-esteem of children. I have always felt this is a very
important part of children's development that is necessary to

ISU KEPRIHATINAN KAJIAN A primary concern in my teaching is that of classroom management. Throughout my grade two placement I found that this was the most difficult aspect of teaching. When I found out that my final placement was going to be teaching computer studies to the entire school, a feeling of anxiety came over me. How was I ever going to control fourteen different classes when I only saw them once a week?(Lacaria, L. , 1998)
Without a doubt, my central concern in my grade 3 class was how do I get the short attention span of these 8 year olds. (Mikuljan, K.,1998)
The central concern in my practice was that I was not giving my grade 4 students sufficient opportunities for productive interaction with their peers. (Santos, F., 1998)

My Action Research was to improve my skills at teaching mathematics. Specifically, I examined how using children's literature improved my lesson planning, classroom management, and articulation of mathematical concepts to grades two and three children. (Joiner, L. , 1998)
To increase awareness within the classroom about multiculturalism and the diversity of cultures throughout the globe. To move beyond the traditional celebrations which take place in this predominantly White-Anglo-Saxon community. (Budd, 1998)

TINDAKAN YG DICADANGKAN
To add to the schools course of action, I decided to create a unit that would incorporate self-esteem building activities into the basic structure of my grade one class. (Gershon, L., 1998)
I knew I had to try some new way of grabbing the students' attention. Something that was quick, something that had an audio cue and above all something that they would possible like. While volunteering in an elementary school the teacher I worked with effectively used the technique of echo clapping to get the attention of her students. I figured I would give it a try. (Mikuljan, K.,1998)
In summary, I aimed to make learning more interactive by using the following four strategies:
– Introducing drama across the curriculum;
– Relating math to real life;
– Allowing students to lead the teacher in an activity;
– Integrating math and literature. (Santos, F,. 1998)
