Perunding Alam Bina Sdn Bhd (PAB) was established in 1974, and has since grown into a vibrant practice with a reputation for context driven solutions which are cost effective and efficient. Our team of dedicated professionals work closely with client groups in both the public and private sectors to deliver our portfolio of projects, some of which are amongst Malaysia’s most recognisable landmarks.

As a multi-disciplinary practice, our professionals are specialised in the areas of architecture, urban planning, medical planning and landscape architecture.

Philosophy

The pursuit of design excellence and responsible project management at all stages of the consultancy services is the fundamental aim of the practice, starting from preliminary design through to final completion.

To achieve these goals, PAB believes the project personnel must participate directly in the early stages of the design process. Working with the client, the multi-disciplinary team of professionals will help to define goals, delineate directions and provide guidelines within which design development can proceed most effectively.

We believe that each and every project must be treated on its own merits. Optimum building designs and planning solutions which satisfy aesthetic considerations, special site and budget constraints as well as the client’s functional requirements call for an efficient decision making process and a constant review of priorities throughout the design process.

The Practice

Perunding Alam Bina was formed in May 1974 by three principals, namely Shamsul Bahrin, Dennis GL Teoh and Parid Wardi, who brought with them many years of experience overseas and locally in the fields of Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture. Parid Wardi and Shamsul Bahrin have since retired from practice.

PAB now consists of 6 Principals and over 100 professional, technical and administrative staff.

PAB today is a nation-wide practice with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru, having successfully undertaken and completed projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, India and Bangladesh.

Over the years it has built up a team of professional personnel to provide comprehensive consultancy services from conception to completion.
