Malaysia Rainforest Adventure
In Brief Nature enthusiasts who embrace the wilderness must know of Taman Negara. Moving to the state of Pahang is the country’s premier national park - dating back over 130 million years, it is one of the oldest rainforests in the world. And if you are not impressed by that fact yet, it is also home to over 300 species of birds, 200 species of mammals and an estimated 10,000 species of plants! Whether you are a plant or animal lover or simply prefer the great outdoors, there is never a dull moment here! Popular attractions are the canopy walkway across a 530m suspension bridge suspended 40m above ground, a hike up Bukit Teresek and exploring caves. You can also go jungle trekking, swimming in pools and rivers, ‘shoot’ the rapids, fishing, mountain climbing, bird or animal watching, plant spotting and the list goes on. While some activities are suitable for novices, some require special training or a guide so do check with the staff of the resort first.
Visit and enjoy Taman Negara as there are few rainforest experiences in the world quite like it. The Mutiara Taman Negara Resort places great emphasis on conversation with the principal message being-leave the park as you found it so that generations of adventurous travellers will be able to appreciate the many wonders of this rainforest wonderland. Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but your footprints. Route

A shuttle departs from the Lower Lobby of Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur at 9.00am and the return coach departs from Kuala Tahan at 9.00am and arrives at approximately 1.00pm.
