1985/89, and 1992 onwards: Staff advisor: advising and participating in various community-‐‑based activities of the UPM Sarawak Student Association, such as

organising workshops promoting UPM and an awareness of the importance of university education among rural parents and school children in Sarawak. To-‐‑date, several such programmes have been carried in various parts (Divisions/ Districts) of Sarawak such: Kuching; Kota Samarahan; Sibu; Kanowit; Sekuau; & Selanggau.

1983. Leader of a youth delegation from the Sarawak Iban Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia to attend the Second International Christian Youth Conference, held in Nassau, the Bahamas, 8-‐‑15 August. Indonesian to English translator for a key conference speaker from Indonesia.
