She was also ne of the participant that took place for The “Bestnya Malaysiaku” wall art competition,

She painted the ‘Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla’, and won second-runner up for the wall art competition held in SS2 .

For older time, Indian barbers have been styling the hair of Malaysian men and boys. They are a part and percel of Malaysia culture.

Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla is a mural combined with installation art, depicting the ambience inside a barber shop which has remained the same for the last 30 years.

` 01 Stereotype Lyla stereotyped that all barber shops are

owned by Indians

` 02 Non-verbal messages (Object) Based on the mural art, we can know that this is a barber shop because of the typical features such as old skull square mirror, checked floor and barber pole.

organised the contest in hopes of reviving the

SS2 area. To attract local graffiti artists to take part in

the art initiative.- It carries own

meaning in every mural arts.

and culture scene.- To showcase a

significant storyline between the past and
