Reactions 1463, p11 - 3 Aug 2013 S Atazanavir Unconjugated hyperbilirubinaemia: case report A woman [age not stated] developed unconjugated hyperbilirubinaemia while receiving atazanavir. In December 2011, the woman started combination antiretroviral therapy that included atazanavir [dosage and route not stated]. One month later, her safety bloods revealed a bilirubin level three times the upper limit. In February 2012, she reported longstanding tiredness and mild jaundice to her GP, who arranged for further investigation in hospital. Upon discussion with hospital doctors, they were informed that hyperbilirubinaemia was a common side effect of atazanavir. A diagnosis of drug-related unconjugated hyperbilirubinaemia was made, and she was discharged [outcome not stated].
