Behavioural disturbances: incidence studyA review of the records at McLean Hospital,

Massachussetts, USA, revealed no significant differencebetween the incidence of behavioural disturbances inpsychiatric inpatients who received triazolam (n = 72) ortemazepam (112).

Author comment: ‘We did not find that triazolam hadunique disinhibitory activity.’ Editorial Comment: The resultsof a survey published recently in the Lancet showed thatagents given as substitutes for triazolam following thewithdrawal of the latter were not necessarily associated withfewer adverse effects (see Reactions 435: 2, 23 Jan 1992)Rothschild AJ, et al.
